Today was my first day working at Magic Mirror, a spa that Josh's aunt owned.  I was starting as a receptionist, only doing small things. I took a cab there, considering it was on the other side of the city. Four days have gone by since Josh took me on the best date ever. I already missed the feeling of his lips on mine, the feeling of his touch, his smell, or even his presence.  Why was I so scared about what could happened, yet so excited for something new? I'd only had 1 boyfriend before Mike, and that was nothing.

When I finally got there, it was 9:50, 10 minutes early. The bell on the door rang as I opened it, taking a couple steps towards the reception desk. A blonde woman walked around the half wall, a bright smile on her face. The light from the window made her eyes glow as she got closer. She had eyes, much like Josh's, but darker.

"Hello. You must be Juliet," she smiled, holding her hand out.
"Yes, I am. It's nice to meet you..."
"Sabrina." I nodded my head and kept the smile on my face. All I need to do is impress his aunt and I'm in.
"It's a pretty simple job. All you have to do is answer the phone, make appointments, and fill out order forms." She showed me where all of the things were that I was going to need. I was introduced to the nail technician (Alice), the masseuse (Linda), and the 2 hair dressers were Sabrina and Haley. By noon, I had gotten my hair trimmed, eyebrows waxed, and a pedicure. Haley ordered us a pizza for lunch, which was the best I've had by delivery. Going out back, I found some new nail polishes that hadn't been taken out of their box. The bell on the door rang, signaling a customer walked in. I wore a smile out and around the corner, but it only got bigger as I saw Josh.

"Hey Juliet," he smiled back, "how's it going?"
"It's actually really fun. Your aunt is so nice."
"Now you know where I get it," he said, walking around the corner to see Sabrina.
"Hey Hun!" Her smile was so wide, it matched Josh's. God his mom and dad must be hot. Wait, what the hell is wrong with you? Oh yeah, Josh has permantly made me a pervert, without even trying.
"Sabrina's not being too much to handle is she?" he asked me, his arm around her shoulders. I just laughed and handed her the pack of new combs.
"She's a crazy one," I said sarcastically, sitting down on the stool.

We carried on a conversation for a good 15 minutes until I heard the phone ringing. After booking an appointment for tomorrow morning, Josh came back around the corner, and leaned against the counter.
"Can I help you?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, you can. What are you doing after work?"
"Absolutely nothing," I sighed, looking outside at the sunny sky, doing anything to avoid his eyes.
"Good. So you can come meet my fur baby."
"Hell yes! Now I'm excited," I said, picking up the phone again. I heard the door close just as I was hanging up, and saw a sticky note that read I'll be back to pick you up. My eyes went to the black truck leaving the parking lot and suddenly the sky got cloudy and gray.

Sabrina let me leave 5 minutes early, seeing how Josh was already outside. The wind was starting to pick up, blowing my blonde hair around like crazy.
"Hey stranger," Josh smirked as I got into the car. He was playing with his ipod, controlling the stereo.
"Well hello there." He put it on a Candlebox song, Far Behind.
"So how do you like working there so far?" I told him about how his aunt was one of the nicest people I had ever met and how I couldn't stop laughing the whole time. They made me feel welcome and helped me with everything. Then we got quiet, but I heard him singing the song softly. I joined in, but a little louder than him. It was getting towards the end of the song, and I could hear that Josh wasn't singing anymore.
"Wow," was all he said. I could see the smile out of the corner of my eyes, so I just shifted my attention to the horizon.
"Sorry, I got a little carried away."
"Don't be, you're voice is beautiful," I literally laughed out loud. "I'm being serious."
"Thank you, I guess." I smiled, looking over at him.

He told me he had a photo shoot the other day and how one of the mother's came up to him and gave him her daughter's number.
"Did you call her?" I asked, laughing at his facial expression.
"Of course not! I was just like 'Oh sure, I'll do that for you', but I never did."
"Joshua, that's mean. You could have said hi," I offered as we pulling into his driveway.
"I could have," he shrugged, turning off the truck. "Ready to meet Driver?"
"Driver, Josh? Really?" I raised my eyebrow and just laughed it off.

"Don't you judge me." I bit my lip so I wouldn't be tempted to rip off his tank top right then and there.

When we got into the house, it was dark. It looked like it was 10 pm outside when it was only 5:30. It was also quiet, until I heard the loud roar of a dog.
"Daddy's home, Driver!" I followed him into the living room where Driver was behind a gate in the back room.
"Oh my god!" I got down on my knees so he could jump all over me. I pet his soft fur and let him lick my face. "You're gonna come home with me. I'll be your new momma." Josh just laughed and joined me, sitting cross legged on the carpet. Driver was the cutest blue pit bull I'd ever seen. "Seriously, you might want to check my pockets before I leave tonight."
"I have no problem with that," he winked, grabbing Driver's leash.

The trees were practically being bent in half as the wind started to pick up. Josh came back inside just in time before the rain started. We tried to watch TV, but the satellite signal was messing up. Instead, we watched Zombieland.
"I can't believe you got to work with Woody. He's just so fricken awesome," I told Josh, who was petting Driver- who happened to be sleeping on my lap.
"I know. I'm still having a hard time believing it. He's the nicest and most laid back guy. Probably because he's always high, but that's okay." I couldn't help but laugh at him, thinking back to the other morning.
"That is very okay."
"And you did it with him didn't you?" I looked up at him, trying to read his expression. "Jenn told me. Don't worry, I'm honestly jealous."
"I'm jealous too! He offered it to me, how could I turn him down?" Josh stood up and started doing stretches.
"What are you doing?" I asked, crossing my legs.
"Limbering up!" he yelled, doing squats. I laughed harder at him as started running in place towards me.
"Don't do it," I told him, pointing at him.
"Do what?" he asked, stepping closer and closer.
"You know what," I said, standing up to get away from him.

"Maybe I'm a zombie, Juliet. You would never know."
"Joshua, you're so weird." But I continued to laugh.
"Rule #1: Cardio." His eyebrows wiggled as he started running towards me. I screamed and started to run through the house, laughing at his laughter. I made it back to the living room and was cornered by Josh. Just then, the lightning struck and the whole house was black.
"This is scary now," I said, holding out my hands in front of me. Lightning struck again and I saw Josh was getting closer, his lips curled into a gorgeous smile.
"Is it?" he asked. I felt his stomach against my hands, so I slid them to his waist and pulled him closer.
"Very," I whispered. Then his lips were on mine, just like that. All I could hear was the rain, thunder, and my heart pounding against my chest.
"Rule #2: Double tap." He said, slapping my butt twice. I couldn't help but laugh and kiss him some more. He was so addictive that it scared me.
"Maybe we should light some candles," he said before a small peck. "So Driver doesn't get scared." Kiss. "And I can see your beautiful face." Kiss again.

"Okay," was all I could whisper as I sat on the couch. Josh got random candles and lit a few here and there. I looked to the left of the couch and noticed a guitar. Picking it up, I set it on my lap, thinking of the chords. I went slowly at first, finding the rhythm that'd been so long forgotten. I hadn't played since before Michael. He said it was a waste of time and he broke every last one of them.

"My ship went down in a sea of sound. When I woke up alone, I had everything. A handful of moment I wish I could change, and a tongue like a nightmare that cut like a blade."

I got so lost in the song that I hadn't noticed Josh sitting down. After the chorus, I stopped singing, but continued to hit the chords.
"Juliet, can I ask you something?" I stopped strumming the guitar and looked up at him.
"Anything," I smiled.
"Jennifer said that you were moving to get away from an ex." My stomach dropped. "What did he do to you?"
If I told him about Michael, he'd think I was weird. He wouldn't want to deal with the girl who dated someone crazy, because maybe she's crazy herself. My hands started to shake against the guitar, tears formed in my eyes. Josh took the guitar and set it next to him, before embracing me in a hug as I started to cry.
"Shh, Juliet. It's okay. You're here now." He was right. It is okay, because Michael had no way of finding me. It is okay, because I could open up to Josh without feeling like holding back. "Did he hurt you?" he whispered.
I nodded into his chest because I couldn't find the words to say.
"Juliet, can I ask you something else?" I nodded again. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
I couldn't speak, even though my heart and head were screaming YES!, my mouth couldn't form the words. "Look, I don't want you to be scared. Just because some guy hurt you before, doesn't mean we're all like that. You can trust me, Juliet. I would never let anything happen to you. I promise I won't ever let anything happen to you"
Looking up into those hazel eyes, swirling with golden speaks, I got lost. So lost, that I'd forgotten that I needed to reply.
"Okay," I whispered, pressing my smiling lips to his.

It is perfectly okay.
