Jennifer helped me with choosing my outfit for the date Josh was about to take me on. I was starting to get nervous as the clock spun closer and closer to 3.
"Where do you think he's taking you?" she asked, handing me the backing to my earring. Jennifer was almost more excited than I was about this date. She wanted to do my hair, my make up, everything.
"I was gonna ask you the same thing," I laughed, checking my appearance in the mirror again before walking to the living room.
"Maybe he'll take you to that place you guys went before. Remember?" Jenni -who wouldn't stop smiling - asked. Of course I remember. How could I forget a place like that? It was the first place that made me feel like I was at home. Or maybe that was the feeling Josh gave me.
"Maybe."

Not even 10 minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
"Jenni, you get it," I whined, sitting on the bar stool by the counter.
"No, you pansy," she laughed, pushing me off the stool. My heart sped up rapidly as I reached for the door handle. I opened the door and there stood Josh, smiling widely with those pearly white teeth and precious hazel eyes.
"Hello," he said, arm holding him up as he leaned against the door frame.
"Hey," I smiled and put my head down like an embarrassed 4 year old.
"Ready for a fantastic day filled with fun?"
I couldn't help but laugh before replying, "Why yes, of course."

Then, we were out the door, walking down the long hallway. As always, we were never silent. We talked about our day, friends, family, things that have happened, or just funny memories.
"Where are you taking me?" I finally asked, tapping my fingers along my legs.
Josh just smiled and continued to drive down the highway. I sighed and rolled my eyes, playing with the stereo in truck. Sooner than later, we got to a movie theater. I thought it was cute how original it was; he even got out to open my door for me.
"So what movie are we seeing today?" The cashier asked, smiling over at us.
"Two for How To Be a Latin Lover," he said, sliding over a 20 dollar bill. We went to the concession and got a large popcorn and soda to share.
"I hope you like Diet Pepsi," I smiled, sipping on the drink before we go to the theater.
"Don't worry, I do now." He took the drink from me and sipped it for a while.

The movie ended up being hilarious!!
"I dated a Hispanic once. It was all fun and games but she is psycho." It was the first time I heard about his love life and I definitely got jealous.
"Yeah, well, they're all crazy!"

We had to park in a parking lot, he told me, but it was just a few blocks away.
"Should I be nervous?" I asked, following him down the street. He was walking at a pretty fast pace.
"No," he said. Smiling over at me, he continued, "you should be excited." Well that ended my argument. Josh came to a stop quickly, making me run into him. "This is it."
I looked all around me, but I couldn't see anything besides building. "What is?"

He took a step to the side while looking down. I saw Bob Marley's star and when I looked all around, I finally registered that we were on the Walk Of Fame.
My heart started to race and the blood rushed to my face. Bob Marley's music got me through more of my life than my own mother did. His music, his cause, his words. My brother gave me an old tape with his music on it, and from then, I've been in love. . All that he ever said or did influenced me to make it onto another day. It all came back to me then that the night we went to the lake, he had asked me a question.

'If you could bring back any famous person from the dead, who would it be?' He remembered my answer. My eyes connected up with his then traveled to his lips, which were curled into a smile.
I mustered up all the courage in my body and cupped Josh's face, then pulled him into a kiss. He took a step closer and started to kiss back, setting his hands on my hips. I had gotten so lost in the feeling of his soft lips against mine that I forgot where we were. When we finally pulled away, I smiled up at him.
"That was the best surprise ever," I said, receiving a laugh from him.
"Good," was all he replied before kissing me again. His hand slid from my waist to my fingers where he intertwined his into. We started walking down the Walk Of Fame, admiring some of our 'heroes' and saluting our respects to most.
