I could've slept forever. The past few days have been exhausting; between Josh (yeah buddy) and work, I've gotten little sleep. Josh's bed was too comfortable for me to even think about getting up right now, even though I would be late to work if I didn't.
When my eyes fluttered up, Josh wasn't in bed, instead Driver took his spot. My eyebrows furrow together in confusion as I got up and put on just a tank top and his boxers over my naked body. In the bathroom, I did my business, then brushed my teeth, fixed up my hair, and removed the make up smudges from under my eyes. Even though I had a boyfriend, I still needed to look nice, especially when he doesn't even have to try to.
The smell of pancakes filled the air and I glanced at the clock. I still had an hour and a half before I had to be at work. Down stairs, I found Josh in his sexy boxer briefs, standing at the stove with a spatula. Happiness filled inside me, butterflies exploding when he glanced up at me. A beautiful smile played across his lips as he put the pan back on the stove.
"There's my birthday girl." He pulled me into a kiss when I got into reaching distance.
"You're making me pancakes?!" I asked excitedly, letting him wrap his arms around me from behind.
"Chocolate chip pancakes." His emphasis made me laugh. I turned around and snaked my arms around his neck. I planted a soft kiss on his lips and made my way across his jaw line, and down his neck.
"Uh-uh, the pancakes will burn." I gasped softly and pushed away. He just smacked my ass as I got to the cupboard and took out plates, cups, and silverware. There was a cup of milk for me and orange juice for Josh."Whats taking so long?" I whined, wanting to see how long I could last before getting on his nerves.
"Almost done, princess."
"God, almost?! I'm starving!"
"I know baby, I'm making it special."
"But, you're taking forever."
"Juliet, I know what you're doing." He walked over to me with his sexy, hairy chest, a happy trail leading to something amazing. I smiled widely up at him as he set the plate down. I gave him a kiss on his soft lips, never feeling as happy as right now.
My plate had 2 chocolate chip and banana pancakes, strawberries making a heart on the top of each one. He used whip cream to write the number 2 on one, and the number 23 on the other."Awww," I sang, looking up at Josh. "You're the best boyfriend in the world."
"Yeah, I know I am." He winked up at me and took a sip of his drink."That was the best breakfast ever." Josh and I put our plates in the sink, then I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Thank you, so much." My boyfriend smiled and wrapped his own arms around my waist. He glanced at the clock and wiggled his thick eyebrows at me. A smile laid on my lips as I admired every freckle on his beautiful face.
"We should take a shower." I nodded vigorously and was chased up the stairs by a laughing Josh.
In the shower, I let the warm water wake up my sore muscles. I loved the way Josh massaged the shampoo into my scalp. It made me relax even more, and I did the same, giving him a mohawk. He smirked as he watched me wash the last of my conditioner out."What?" I asked, ringing my hair out.
"Nothing," he said, pulling me by my hips. "You just look like an angel."
My lips curved into a deep smile and planted themselves on his.
