"You can get me one of those floaties that go around your waist," I said to Justin as he got out of the car.
"One with a dinosaur!" Josh yelled after him. Jenni, Josh, Justin, and I were getting supplies for the pool party we were going to have at Josh's. Walmart was packed and nobody felt like going in, so we all called not it, Justin being last.
It's been a good 15 minutes since he went into the store."Did he get lost? Shit."
"Maybe we should go find him?" Josh asked, ray bans covering up those beautiful eyes, but not that heart clenching smile.
"Always so compromisable," I smiled before kissing his lips.Yeah, I can do that now! We've been dating for 4 weeks now and it's been the funnest time of my life. Everyday he just surprises me with how happy he can make me, with just 5 minutes of being around. As we walked thru the isles of the giant Walmart, our fingers were laced together, and I felt like they'd stay that way forever if I let them.
"Alright, if you were Justin, where would you be?" I asked, peeking around corners.
"The swimming isle?" Josh stated like it was obvious. I gave him a look, which he simply brushed away by kissing me. That will never get old. Slowly, we walked to the swimming isle, and there was Justin, all alone.
"We should scare the shit out of him." Josh had an evil grin across his face, which only caused one to grow on mine."That's a great plan." So he went on the other side of the isle and we tip toed together as he was intrigued by what rafts to get. Josh counted to three with his fingers, and we both screamed at the same time, causing Justin to scream and drop everything he was holding.
"You guys are assholes," he said, picking up the boxes he dropped. Josh and I high fived and helped our poor friend pick out what to get. He had actually gotten me a waist floaty with a dinosaur.
"You're the best cousin in law ever!" I wrapped my arms around him for a hug which he returned with a laugh.
"I take that to heart," he replied, and we began to walk to the cash register.Currently, I was lounging in the pool. Josh had my floaty around him, but it looked cuter that way. The party was about 2 hours in and crowded. I saw some people I don't remember meeting from the party when I first arrived here, some I recognized, and some I just completely ignored. A group of girls in the corner of the pool have been staring, giving me dirty looks the whole time.
"I would go knock a bitch out," Jenn said, sipping on her lemonade.
I couldn't help but laugh at my cousin. "I could, but I don't want to give Josh a bad reputation." She just shrugged her shoulders in response, continued to lay on her raft. I watch my sexy boyfriend strut over to me, dinosaur floaty and all, with a big smile on his face.
"Hey beautiful," he said, sitting on the edge of the pool.
"Hey there," I smiled, sitting up to kiss him. His smile after we pulled away gave me cold chills, always.
"I like your bathing suit by the way," Josh smiled, nodding at my bikini. "It's hot." Jennifer flicked water over at him.
"That's my baby cousin, you weirdo."
"That's my girlfriend, you weirdo," He mocked back, then kissed me again. As the sun got brighter overhead, more people showed up. Josh had me meeting all over his friends, even JoJo - who starred in RV with him.
"Woah, looks like Josh got himself a winner this time," she winked, pinching his cheek.
He laughed and turned his head away - towards me- and smiled. "I sure did." That alone was enough to make my stomach blow up with butterflies.
"Yo Josh!" A 'dude' friend yelled from across the pool.
He waved over at Andy, then laced his fingers with mine. "Come with me?" His puppy dog eyes work like a charm.
"We're thinking about going to Knott's Berry Farm. Double date?"
"Can we triple that?" Justin asked, coming over with Jenn.
"Definitely," Andy nodded, kissing his girlfriend Miranda's cheek. She looked really shy, I felt bad. I was shy too, so maybe Jenn and I could make her feel less awkward. We all stuffed into Josh's truck and drove off to, whatever farm.
"So where exactly are we going?" I asked after 10 minutes.
"You've never been to Knott's Berry?" Andy asked, jaw slacked. I shook my head and looked at everyone.
"What is it?"
"Only the greatest farm ever! It has the cutest animals and fun games," Jenn gushed, holding my hand. I raised an eyebrow at them.
"It's a real farm?" I asked, skeptical.
"Yeah, they have all the animals you can think of," Josh nodded, assuring me. I asked if they were serious 3 more times, and they even started pumping me up for it. I was going to see lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
