“Hay I forgot the blankets in the car I’ll be right back.” David said as he walks back.
I look at Weston and lean in just as he does our lips touching and causing me to pull back quickly. “I’m sorry.” I say feeling clumsy and slipping off the stump. Before I hit the ground Weston wraps his arms around me but instead of pulling my upright he just pulls me into him and plants another kiss on my lips.
I always thought my first kiss would make me feel happy but this one sent a pain through my chest as if I had just gotten shot with a bullet. I quickly pull away and try to get the pain to stop. “What’s happening?” I scream clutching my chest as it burns.
Weston stares at me as David comes back from the car dropping blankets. “We have to make her shift.” He tells Weston quietly but I could still hear it.
Instead of waiting for them I tried just as I had in training, but this time I transformed fully letting my bones bend and snap. I felt the pain that everyone had tried to describe to me but it was so much worse. I felt like there was fire inside my bones, I could feel every hair pressing trough my skin as if I had a million ingrown hairs, and lastly the burning pain I had in my chest got stronger and stronger.
When everything but the burning stopped I looked up at the boy trying to figure out what they wanted me to do. “Find him.” Was all Weston said before I felt someone calling me, it was a soft female voice “he’s not ready yet, but he will be don’t give up on him.” I follow the voice hearing it louder and louder. Then I smelled him, it was just cologne in fact I had smelled it as I was walking down the hall this morning, but now I felt like if I could just reach the source of it I could die and not care. I watch as he lifts his head away form a girl’s neck. She had beautiful blonde hair and bright blue eyes, but instead of being mad that he had stopped paying attention to her she smiled and nodded at him and gathered her clothes. I shift not caring that he is going to see me naked due to the fact my wolf was now much bigger than I expected.
I run to him and feel the pressure in my chest stop. I look up at him for only a moment before my vision goes black and my body limp.
