PROLOGUE;
When Mance Rayder had told the wildlings to attack the wall, Amodera had followed her orders. When he ordered them to retreat, again she followed her orders. But when a southern army came for them, she did not follow her orders. Mance didn't want anymore bloodshed, but Amodera hadn't watched her kin perish at the wall just to surrender now.
While Stannis' force attacked from both sides, the young girl took it upon herself to save as many of the wildlings as she could. Amodera lead them East, to Hardhome -- one of the few safe places left for wildlings -- and there became their new Commander.
The dead were on the horizon and if the wildlings were to survive, they needed a miracle; or perhaps they just needed Jon Snow and a fleet of Southern ships.
