It's been years since Samurai Jack vanquished the evil Aku. Even with the death of Ashi Jack lives on with more hope of what is to come. In the shadows lurks a new evil that Jack has yet to discover.
"Years have passed, Aku's grasp no longer chokes the past, present, and the future. Through darkness I have found hope" -Samurai Jack After Jack bids farewell to the family he travels onward. His horse is hungry. Jack decides to travel a bit more towards an apple tree up ahead. Apples have fallen onto the ground. Jack's horse goes towards the apples. Out of nowhere a trap springs out of the ground trapping the horse. Jack takes out his sword freeing his horse. Jack hears rustling in the bushes. Out jumps a ninja. Jack fights the ninja. Their swords clash several times. Jack stands up after the ninja kicked Jack. Jack says "enough" and decides to round house kick the ninja killing which kills the ninja instantly. Jack remembers his first human kill.

Jack stares at the ninjas limp body. He regrets his actions. Jack doesn't dwell on it and just moves on. Jack then rides his horse into a misty forest.

Jack hears a voice in the distance. Jack hears Ashi's voice. "No it cannot be". Jack rides towards the voice." No it must be my mind playing tricks on me". Jack hears the voice again. The voice sounds just like Ashi. Jack shouts "NOOOO!" Jack is tired and then he remembers when Ashi disappeared from existence on their wedding day. Jack lowers his head and cries just like he did on that day.

Jack lifts his head up and wipes away his tears. Jack then sees a ladybug fly by. Jack remembers when a ladybug gave him hope years ago. Jack moves on with his horse. Jack hears the voice again. "Leave me alone!" Then a dark figure appears it's Jack. It looks exactly like Mad Jack. Which Aku created out of Jack's hate. Jack pulls out his sword and is ready to fight.
