Chapter Thirteen

(Day Nine)

Youngbae was reading his files when he heard something slammed onto the table in front of him. Lifting his head, he raised an eyebrow at Dong Wook who huffed as he left, leaving a file on Youngbae's table.

"Expected from an ex-assassin."

Youngbae said as he shuffled the stack of files aside, than took the file that Dong Wook left behind.

"Perfect."

Youngbae took photos of the information indicated on the files and smirked. Putting his phone back into his pocket, Youngbae took the stack of files into his hands and exited his office.

Ji Yong could only blink as the occupant of the hospital bed rubbed her eyes and yawned softly. Lee Chae Rin blinked his eyes open and looked around at the surroundings with a suspiscious eyes until she stopped her gaze on the cyber police.

"Where am I??"

Chae Rin said, her voice hoarse and only above a whisper from lack of water. Instinctly, Ji Yong rushed to fetch a glass of water for Chae Rin.

"You're in a hospital. The police found the base of the bad guys and managed to save you and five others. You're safe here."

Chae Rin blinked before nodding her thanks to Ji Yong for the glass of water. Ji Yong could only stare as Chae Rin stared out of the hospital window, the soft sunlight shining in made Chae Rin sigh softly. Seeing the other not wanting to talk about anything, Ji Yong opened his laptop and turned his back to Chae Rin, not noticing the tear that rolled down Chae Rin's cheek as she continued to look out the window.

"Woohoo!!! We're here!!"

Minzy whooped excitedly as she stepped out the car with Daesung following behind. Dong Wook could only chuckle softly at the two's excitement while waiting for a call from the commisioner. Affer thanking the bellboy with the luggage, Dong Wook closed the door and smiled as Minzy and Daesung looked around, eyes sparkling and mouth agape at the luxurious apartment that they gonna stay in.

"Wow!! Oppa, are we really living in this fantasy land??"

Minzy words made Dong Wook as the older lead the two kids to take a look around the apartment. Since the apartment should be enough to accomodate at least over ten people, it was as big three apartments combined together, which consisted of three floor. The third floor is the penthouse, which Dong Wook had to stop Minzy and Daesung from diving into the big pool there. The second floor is where there are exactly ten bedrooms are located, which Dong Wook could only sigh as both Minzy and Daesung argued in which room they want to sleep in. And lastly, the first floor, which  is the common room which consisted of a spacious living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, a gaming room and two bathrooms which Dong Wook almost tripped and fell when he accidentally stepped on a piece of soap on the bathroom floor, courtesy of the two over-excited kids.

After a long day of taking care of both Minzy and Daesung, Dong Wook thinks its time for the two to sleep as the clockhand reached nine. Seeing as the two wanted share a room together, Dong Wook than did his best to coax the two to sleep.

It was already pass fifthteen minutes past ten when Dong Wook came out of the bedroom with tired eyes. Dong Wook yawned as he made his way downstairs to make himself a cup of coffee as he's not sleeping until he finished his paperwork.

It was exactly eleven at night when Gummy, followed by Seungri and Ji Yong, entered the apartment, a soft smile on her face as she gazed at Dong Wook who was hunched over the coffee table, a soft snore rumbled through the room as Dong Wook slept.

Ushering the younger two to go their rooms, Gummy walked gracefully towards Dong Wook, creating as much silence as she can without waking uo the tired man. Placing a comforter around Dong Wook, Gummy kissed the other's forehead, smiled softly before going to her own room. After Gummy left, Dong Wook cracked an eye opened, and smiled as the feeling of Gummy's soft lips on his forehead seem to linger. Wrapping the comforter around him, Dong Wook decided to just crush on one of the couch and Gummy's smile as his last thought, Dong Wook wandered off to dream land.
