Chapter Fourteen

"Wahhh!!!!!!!!!!"

A loud scream pierced the ears of all the occupants of the apartment as Dong Wook came out with his face drawned into a clown. Minzy and Daesung laughed so hard until they tumbled down the sofa while clutching their stomachs, Seungri snickered softly while holding up a flat tray when a towel came flying towards his direction. Ji Yong smirked looking at his sunbae than took a picture of clown Dong Wook, which Seungri had immediately liked the second Ji Yong posted it. Gummy could only chuckled softly as Dong Wook glared at the two kids laughing their heads off on tbe floor.

"Knock it off, you guys. Give Wookie a break, will ya??"

"Noona!! You're the only one who understands me!!"

Gummy smiled softly and started scrubbing the paint off Dong Wook's face while Dong Wook could only pout when Gummy laughed at his clown face. At the corner, Seungri and Ji Yong both had sunglasses on their face, blocking out the strong light which emmited from Gummy and Dong Wook.

"Anyways, I'm needed at the hospital, see you guys later."

Seungri immediately left as soon as he got Youngbae's message to got o the hospital. Seeing as staying at the apartment wouldn't do any help, Ji Yong gave a lame excuse of getting fresh air before disappearing out with his laptop, leaving Gummy, Dong Wook, Minzy and Daesung.

Once the two had calmed down from their high, Daesung and Minzy came and apologize to Dong Wook with smiles plastered on their faces.

"Sorry, Wookie hyung. Please, forgive us."

"All right. But, before I forgive you two brats completely...."

Dong Wook flashed a devillish smile before picking both Minzy and Daesung up and rushed up to the penthouse and threw them into the pool.

"Woww!!"

"Wookie hyung!! We just changed!!

Dong Wook bursted into laughter as he looked at the drenched Minzy and Daesung whining and glaring at him. Than, a thought occured on both's head as they nodded towards each other. Getting out of the pool, the two slowly approached Dong Wook who was still curled up by the edge of the pool, laughing.

"Wait, what are you guys... Wah!!!"

A loud splash from the penthouse alerted Gummy who was reading downstairs. Raising an eyebrow, she immediately went up. Only to find Dong Wook in the pool, his wet shirt clung to his body, revealing his toned body and abs, causing Gummy to blush. Than, a yell from Daesung made Gummy averted her eyes from Dong Wook as she stared at both Daesung and Minzy who were wrestling Dong Wook while all three of them laughed.

"Noona, help!!"

"No! You are not getting away tbat easily!"

Before Dong Wook's hand could reach the edge of the pool, Daesung and Minzy's hands attacked Dong Wook's waist, making the elder howled in laughter as he struggled.

Seeing this, Gummy couldn't help but take a picture of the three and had posted it on Insta. Five seconds later, Gummy's phone vibrated and she smiled when Seungri, Ji Yong, Youngbae and even Yang Hyun Suk liked the pic.

"That's enough, you three. Any longer in there and you'll catch a cold."

Gummy said with a tone that a mother would use to her kids and smiled warmly. Daesung and Minzy frowned at the thought of catching a cold and swam up to the edge of the pool, than rushing to a nearby bathroom to wash off. Dong Wook was still at his place, leaning by the edge of the pool, staring out the glass balcony.

"Come on, young man. Those paperworks won't finish themselves."

Gummy said as she ruffled Dong Wook's wet brown-red hair, which made Dong Wook laugh before coming out of the pool. Taking the towel from Gummy's hand, Dong Wook thanked her before heading to his room for a change of fresh and dry clothes.

As Daesung and Minzy were already old enough to change and dry off themselves, Gummy proceeded to get ready for work as she slipped on her black high heels which was given to her by Dong Wook on her birthday.

"Looking good, noona."

Gummy turned to see Dong Wook had his hair combed to the side, wearing a milky-brown long coat with a black undershirt followed by dark blue skinny jeans.

"Not bad yourself, handsome."

Dong Wook chuckled at the comment and pretended to look for Minzy and Daesung in order to hide his blush. Gummy giggled softly when Minzy surprised attacked Dong Wook from behind while Daesung tackled Dong Wook from the front.

"Miss me already??"

"Of course!!"

Minzy exclaimed as she clung to Dong Wook's arm, while Daesung held Dong Wook's hand like how an obedient kid would always hold their mother's hand when they go out. Gummy smiled warmly at the wonderful sight of Dong Wook and his kids.

"Come on, the van's here."

Gummy said as she ushered the two kids into the van. After Minzy and Daesung had buckled up, Gummy went to open the front seat door when someone was qiucker than her.

"My lady."

Dong Wook said as he bowed, his hand still opening the door for Gummy.

"Merci cheri."

Gummy giggled and thanked Dong Wook before climbing onto the front seat. Dong Wook flashed a smile at her and closed the door. After Dong Wook climbed into the van and settled down, the driver immediately set off to the hospital.

It already passed half an hour when the van pulled over the entrance of the hospital. At the sight of Youngbae at the entrance, Dong Wook frowned.

"Morning, noona. Got a nice sleep last night??"

"Morning to you too, Youngbae. Yes, I did. Thank you."

Gummy smiled at Youngbae before making her way into the hospital cafeteria. Dong Wook was leading Minzy and Daesung out of the van when Youngbae approached him.

"Good morning, Dong Wook hyung."

"What do you want?"

Dong Wook said through gritted teeth as he glared at a smiling Youngbae.

"Oh, didn't the academy teach you how to respect your superior?"

Youngbae said as he smirked at Dong Wook's irritated face.

"Meet me at the cafeterie by noon. We need to talk."

Youngbae said as he smiled at Dong Wook cheerfully. Dong Wook only nodded before leading the two kids into the hospital. And something tells him that something is up on the detective's sleeve as he threw one look at Youngbae.
