Chapter 12

"You?!" Queen Leah yelled. Carlos and I shared a worried look, and we rushed to Mal's side.

"Queen Leah, this is Mal, Maleficent's daughter. Don't worry, Maleficent is still in the Isle." I explained. The reason I was worried because Queen Leah seems to mistook Mal as her mother, Maleficent.

Ben approached Mal shortly after. "Yes. Remember my proclamation to give the Isle kids a second chance?" He said.

All of the VKs, Mom and Dad, and Fairy Godmother was on Mal's side, while the AKs were on Queen Leah's side. "Chance to what? Destroy us?" Queen Leah asked furiously.

This is really not going well.

When I heard her say that, my hand immediately went to hold Carlos'. I can feel his hand shaking. I gabe it a squeeze and stroke it with my thumb, hoping that it'll calm him down.

"You remember the spells.. the apples.." Queen Leah pointed out the villains' schemes.
"My daughter was raised by fairies. So her first steps, her first words, I missed it all!" She yelled, with a sharp pauses on the words of the last sentence.

I know, the villains has done horrible things to people, even my parents. But that's all in the past isn't it? All we have to do is forget about it and move on. There's a chance that their kids wouldn't follow their footsteps. And that chance would be bigger if we brought them here. Which is exactly what Ben does.

I saw that Mal was about to apologize.
"I'm so–" She began, but wasn't even given a chance to finish when Chad cuts her off.

"Don't even think about it." He said.
Chad is really annoying ne right now. The fact that his mother is Cinderella, who is really forgiving, makes it even worse. What he's doing right now clearly wasn't a trait like Cinderella.

"Come on, Chad, give them a chance!" I said to him.

"No! Look at her, she stole another girl's boyfriend!" He pointed at Mal.
"And you just enjoy hurting people." He continued and now pointed to Jay.

That's it. I open my mouth to protest, but again Chad cuts me off before I could say anything. "I'm not done. And you're just a gold digger and a cheater." Chad pointed to Evie. "And you! You're just making her your girlfriend so you can break her heart!" He said.
What he's saying is completely nonsense!

"Chad, stop it! What did they ever do to you anyway?" I asked him, annoyed.
"As far as I see it they did nothing wrong! Please just act like your mother once in while!" I continued, now yelling at him.

At my statement, his face turned red. He realized what I said is true didn't he? And he didn't want to admit it.

"Mirror mirror in my hand, who's the biggest jerk in the land?" Evie shoved her mirror to Chad before he could say anything.

"What? No!" He shoved it away. Then Evie sprayed something to him and he passed out.

I gasped lightly, clearly surprised. What did she spray that i made him pass out? Then I noticed Carlos's hand slipped away from mine. He turned and run with his friends.

"Carlos!" I call him out. He turned to me and gave me and apologetical look. "I'm sorry, Blaire.." He said quietly. I wanted to ran after him but Ben held me back by grabbing my arm. "Wait, Blaire.." He gave me a pleading look. As if he wanted me to leave them alone for a while.

But I can't. I can't just stay still when clearly they're hurt about what happened. I wanted to make sure they were okay.

"Please, let me comfort him.." I plead. He paused but eventually sighed and let go of my arm. I gave him a thankful smile and followed Carlos.
