Our horses stopped in their tracks and are refusing to go on after even tugging at the reins for a few times. I glanced at Javelin with an odd look, "Why doesn't he want to go on?" I grumbled under my breath.
"Something's bothering them. They sense something." Merlin concluded, patting his horse's mane gently. I was getting annoyed when Javelin let out a snort and is refusing to even trot.
I frowned at his behaviour. "What is going on?" I let out an annoyed groan.
"They sense intruders coming." Merlin said.My ears perked up when I heard Arthur's unmistakeable haughty tone, "Are we intruders or friends?" He calls. I gazed up to see him and the other knights on their horses.
They dismounted from their saddles, so Merlin and I have do too. I immediately ran to Leon and gave him a teddy-bear hug. He twirled me around and pressed his lips against mine.
"You came for me." I smiled once we pulled away.
"Of course, why wouldn't I?" He grins.
-
"Camelot is under attack. We need you to lead the battle." Arthur informs me while riding back to Camelot.
"By whom?" I asked, frowning, no one is to attack Camelot. I mean, we don't have any more enemies, from what I remembered.I tightened my grip on the reins, anxiously waiting for his answer. But he didn't answer. He just stayed quiet. I already knew who that is.
My eyes widened, I tugged at the reins and kicked Javelin into a speedy gallop back to Camelot as quick as we could.By the time we arrived, I could already see smoke coming out of the kingdom. It was so quiet and still you could hear a pin drop as we entered the village on horseback.
"It's so silent." Gwaine commented.
"Too silent." I agreed.
Our group continued on passing through the village in order to enter the courtyard. The first bandit popped out from behind a wall just as we did.
The horses went frantic and they reared on their hind legs, neighing loudly. I had to grab on and stay firmly on the saddle. Javelin came back down on all fours, flaring his nostrils.
I unsheathed my sword and sliced through the bandit that surprised us a while ago. I stayed on the saddle, and Javelin galloped around the courtyard, allowing me to slash through the bandits that pop out from behind the walls or either from the entranceway.
"Go find Guinevere! I'll handle things here!" I called over my shoulder. It is difficult to turn when you have the reins clutched in one hand, and a sword in the other.
Out of the corner my eye I saw a figure running inside the castle, I would like to think that it is Arthur going inside. It is fine, actually. Then I saw another two figures running in after him.
I saw a brink of red pendragon cape. Great. Everybody went in. I should be able to handle things here. Myself.
