"Run!" I screamed, I saw the gun, I saw the terror in Vanessa's eyes. Mia stood and sprinted forwards grabbing Vanessa's arm and pulling her into the little roof area. I stood up, grabbing the gun and ripping it out of the teens hands. He glared as I stared at him, holding the gun towards him.

"Who the fuck are you, another one of Lucas' minions." I snarled, I had never shot a gun before.

"Heh. You're catching on faster." He stood and swung a knife at me, I grabbed his arm and spun him around. Causing him to crash into the fence. He charged at me and I grabbed his neck and pinned him against the wall. I heard mia scream something and I turned just as a gun shot rang off. Pain shot through my stomach I felt my eyes fill with tears, I felt my knees give out as I collapsed onto the floor. I heard them scurry off but in a last futile effort I shot the gun at one of them. I didn't know if it hit them or not but I screamed out in agony. Vanessa ran over and Mia laid me on my back. I was sobbing, breathing heavily. The pain in my stomach growing.

"V-Vanessa. Vanessa." I sobbed, grabbing her hand.

"Jade. Jade.. oh my god." She cried. Holding me tightly.

"Am I going to die?" I coughed, blood splattering onto my hand.

"No. No you aren't." She cupped my face, I gently reached for her hand and held it gently. The pain in my stomach increasing into pure agony.

"It hurts so bad. I feel like my stomach is ripping in half. It hurts, its hurts." I sobbed out, looking in her eyes. She was sobbing, her tears falling onto my face. I reached my hands up and touched her face. I heard Mia yelling and someone ran next to me.

"Jade!"

"Lin you can't-- oh fuck it."

"Lin. Lin. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I pulled you." I coughed, blood splattering onto my hand and dripping out of the side of my mouth, "into this mess of my life.. I'm so sorry."

"You didn't do anything wrong. Mi hija, relaja a mi hija. Estarás bien pronto." Lin ran his hands through the hair as I heard a helicopter whirling, my eyes slowly shutting. My world going dark.

I watched as Jades eyes shut and waved in the Helicopter, they lowered a stretcher with an EMT and carried Jade on. They immediately lifted off, and I took Vanessa and Lin back to their apartment. Sebastian looked up to see his parents covered in blood. I knew how confused he was as I took his in my arms holding him and rubbing his back.

"Mi. Where Jadie?" Sebastian asked, grabbing my curly hair and twirling it in his fingers.

"She's at the hospital." I sighed.

"Oh no.." Sebastian muttered. Lin and Vanessa came out, they held hands as we went to the car. As we drove Vanessa kept her hand on Lin's shoulder but he wouldn't talk. When we got there she was out of surgery. Vanessa sat with Sebastian and Lin stood near her window. He wouldn't talk. He just looked at Jade. I called Anthony at least twenty times. I was on my tenth call to Jasmine when she picked up.

"Yeah Mi?" She sounded... breathless?

"Jade got shot." I sighed, "She's nearing critical condition."

I heard a smack and Jasmine yelped, "Anthony I swear to god!"

"Mom?" I laughed slightly.

"Sorry. She got shot? Where?" Jasmine finally adjusted to the situation.

"Right between her last two ribs. It almost pierced her lung. She got out of surgery as soon as we arrived." I sighed.

"Why do you need us. We were having--"

"Anthony Ramos." Jasmine said sternly.

"I was going to say a good time but ok! I'll go get dressed." Anthony moved away and Jasmine sighed.

"Vanessa, Sebastian and I haven't been able to get through to Lin. He's so worried. I'm gonna call Daveed and a few others down to see if they cal get through to him. Think you can all Groffsauce?" I looked at Lin.

"Of course. I'll be there asap." Jasmine hung up and I hugged Vanessa.

"She's gonna be ok. I swear." I felt tears fill my own eyes.
