"Congratulations." I sneered and fake smacked 'Alexander.' But then I slipped and fell, hitting my head on the stage. London gasped and ran forwards.

"Jade. Jade. You ok?" She kneeled as I rubbed my head, checking my Angelica dress for any rips.

"Yeah. Yeah I'm good." I nodded, getting up. Since I didn't have any choreography for I while I sat with an ice pack to my head. I kept my eyes shut and tried to not think that much. After practice I changed out of my costume, and went to go get picked up. I walked out and looked for my mom. When a toddler hugged my leg,

"Sissy!" He squeaked.

"What's your name? Who..?" I looked up and saw two adults walking towards me. I knew one of them was Lin Manuel-Miranda.

"I'm Sebastian. Your... brother?" I grabbed my phone and looked at my lock screen and sure enough it was a picture of us. I felt myself get dizzy and I fell over again. I rubbed the side of my head as Lin came over.

"Jade, are you ok?" He asked.

"I can't remember anything. I remember names. But not faces. Not memories." I whispered with tears in my eyes. I could see the shock in Lin's face.

"Vanessa!" He called and she came over.

"Who are you people!" I yelped.

"We aren't going to hurt you. I'm Lin, that's Vanessa. This is Sebastian. We're your foster family." Lin spoke slowly.

"Where's my mom." I asked, "where is she! What happened to her?"

"Wait. You don't remember?" The girl Vanessa asked.

"Sissy?" Sebastian asked.

"I--" I muttered, "I don't remember anything.."

"Lin. You know what we have to do." Vanessa sighed, "honey, come with me."

I followed them into a car and we started driving. I looked through my camera roll. All these situations looked familiar. I just didn't know who these people were. We stopped at a graveyard and they led me in. I was getting a bad feeling as we walked far back. We stopped at a grave.

"Samantha Joann Lewis-Blasko, beloved mother and rolemodel. 1984-2018.." I whispered, all the sudden memories came rushing back, I met Mia in the hospital as I was visiting my mom she told me my mom died. She made sure I would be with a good family so she had her adoptive parents Jasmine Cephas-Jones Ramos and Anthony Ramos foster me for two weeks before I met Vanessa the first week of December and began getting Fostered by the Miranda family. On Christmas Eve I met Lin and fought the guy who broke into the house and he told me that there was a gang after me. The next day I was nearly killed in an apartment fire, that was at my Abuela's apartment and lit by the leader of the gang, Lucas. Then I was in the hospital for a day before getting released and going home. After that things were on the down low until I month ago when I got shot. I was in a coma for ten hours. Going to now I lost my memory by slipping on the stage in my Angelica dress for my school play. London is a brunette who had the idea of dying my hair pink, Yvonne has darker skin and black hair usually in two braids. Tyra is the sport friend, she's from Venezuela but her mothers from Africa, she's extremely nice and is an all star cheerleader. She has short brown hair. Mia Ramos helped me thrive. My favorite musicals are Be More Chill, Moana, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton and Heathers. My favorite color is anything pastel and I have self harmed before.

"Lin... Vanessa.." I turned, "I remember."

"You remember?" Lin smiled

"Everything. Everything I didn't remember. I. That was so weird.." I whispered Lin helped me off the ground and we started to walk out.

"You hit your head. The doctors did say to be carful since they didn't know the side effects of the surgery on your brain since it hit your spinal cord--"

"It hit my what! I thought it just almost punctured my lung!" I yelled as we got in the car.

"It." Vanessa sighed, "it went in between your last two ribs at an awkward angle, then through you lung, and finally it hit your spinal cord. The surgery could've been fatal." Vanessa whispered, leaning her head on the window, "but I knew you would pull through."

The car sat in this weird silence as we drove home. I took a deep breath when we made it inside. I was ready to speak my mind. Hopefully they'd understand.
