It shocked me. When I woke up. I went to clutch my side only to realize there was no pain. I looked around before my eyes landed on the outside of a window facing the hall. Jasmine was hugging Vanessa, Mia was on the Phone. And Anthony was trying to calm Lin. All the sudden Sebastian squealed and I jumped to see him in the doorway. I coughed, shaking my head and someone grabbed him and picked him up. It was most likely Daveed basing on hair. No one noticed I was awake. Then I saw Lin's eyes connect with mine and he smiled. I smiled back, a bit dizzy, so I leaned back again. After a bit a nurse came in and checked my vitals and such. I sighed rubbing my hands together as they let Lin and the others in. Lin walked up to me and gave me a hug, I hugged him back and buried my head in his neck.

"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry." I whispered.

"You didn't do anything, Jade. I'm just happy you're ok." Lin stepped back and Vanessa hugged me so tightly, I thought she was going to break my ribs. She kissed my head and mia gave me a hug, gently. Then Jasmine, she was tired, but she seemed happy. Anthony gave me a highfive. I met Daveed officially when someone else walked in.

"Is said child awake?" He had shorter brown hair and a contagious smile. I waved a tiny bit.

"Hi!" He gushed walking over, "oh my god your hair is so cute! I'm Jonathan Groff."

"I know." I smiled, "I'm a huge Glee and Hamilton fan."

"Playing a straight guy is hard." Jon crossed his arms then chuckled, "I love your hair,"

"Thank you Jon." I smiled. Sebastian climbed up the bed as I laid back again and I grabbed him and held him close.

"I love you sissy." He whispered.

"I love your too." I responded.

•one month later, Vanessa•

I was cleaning the kitchen, quietly sorting some of Lin's papers and mine into piles. I sighed, we were almost done all of the paperwork and it has been almost five months. Tomorrow was the five month mark of us fostering Jade. I could hear Jade laughing from the other room and Sebastian's giggling. I smiled softly as I heard Jade starting to sing. I sat down and ran my hands through my hair. Life had been stressing me out so much, Lin had started another project so he was never home. I hardly had time to do any work. I placed the pen to the paper and signed a few more sheets. For some reason I felt anger and just this weird emotion filling my chest. I started crying. I didn't even know why. I heard the door open and I wiped my tears on my sleeve. I laughed slightly as I set the pen down and rubbed my head. Getting up as I felt the emotions fill my chest again, tears ran down my face. I laughed wiping them away as I heard someone walk up behind me, I turned to see Lin and he smiled.

"V, why are you crying?" He asked gently cupping my face, I laughed.

"I don't even know." I smiled, he kissed my head.

"I'm sorry I have to work so much. New projects and all. I didn't expect it to take this much work." He laughed, dryly.

"I know, and I'm happy your doing more work it's just I miss spending time with you already."  I leaned my head on his shoulder and Lin wrapped his arms around.

"I miss spending time with you too, work is just. It's a lot. And Daveed fell off the stage today. And so much happened." He laughed.

"Of course Daveed is the one who fell off stage." I laughed, kissing his jaw.

"Mhm." He seemed tired.

"Ten plus hours of working isn't doing you good Lin." I kissed his jaw again.

"I know. I'm tired as hell. He kissed my forehead.

"Then let's go sleep. Since the kids already are." I gently wrapped my hand in his and he smiled.

"Ok. Let's go sleep."
