"I never meant to make it such a... mess." I whispered, tears rolling down my face.

"Jade you didn't do anything wrong." Lin frowned as Sebastian took the cue to go in his room.

"I've made your lives a mess. You have to deal with my random weird things! Like getting shot? That's unusual!" I spun around.

"Jade." Vanessa went to step forwards but I stepped back. She paused.

"I shouldn't be here. I'm ruining your lives. You should see all he articles about me." I turned and walked towards the living room.

"Jade!" Lin yelled, his voice on the verge of cracking, "it doesn't matter what they say. It doesn't matter because we love you."

"You love me..." I whispered. It had been almost 3 years since I heard any sort of phrase like that.

"We're going to adopt you. Jade you have to believe in us." Vanessa spoke gently grabbing my hand. I took a deep breath.

"I love you too, Dad.." I whispered and looked at Vanessa, "I love you, mom."

Lin and Vanessa started to cry and I hugged them. I had been told finally calling your foster parents Mom and Dad was hard, but once you did it felt right. You knew you belonged. I knew I belonged here. This was my home.

•two weeks later•

Tonight was the big night. I stood in my first dress, I wasn't scared or anything I was just uncertain of how the night was going to go. We had worked so hard. London leaned on my shoulders as I waited for my queue. One it went I walked out and met with the other two Schuyler sisters mid stage as we sang. Here it goes Jade. Here, you, go--

"Jacob just threw up six times!" Lyon ran on stage and everyone stopped looking at him. Jacob played John Laurens. We needed him from the beginning.

"It's going to take his backup thirty mintues to get here." Miss Gordon gasped.

"We need to do something so the crowd doesn't get bored!" London exclaimed, everyone panicked until I whistled.

"We did that Moana song for the schools showcase thing that never happened. We know the choreography!" I smiled happily.

"Everyone go get changed!" Miss Gordon said. Everyone rushed back to the dressing rooms. We all changed into the outfits we needed. Backup dancers had black pants, and blue shirts with wave designs and everyone's hair was down. I had different outfits though. I was dressed up as Moana, London, Youna, Emma, and Derrick were all villagers. I heard Miss Gordon talking as I put on the top. I cringed when I realized you could see the bandages on my stomach. Luckily London had really heavy foundation for my arms. She's the only cast member who knows. We walked out and I tapped Miss Gordon's shoulder as she was fake stressing, adjusting a flower crown that was clipped into my hair.

"Miss Gordon? We have an idea?" I asked and she leaned back a small bit as I faked whispered it to her.

"Perfect!" She smiled hugging me.

"Ok they have an idea! So we will see some talented dancing!" Miss Gordon quickly left the stage and I sighed. Adjusting my costume as the curtains opened.

(You don't have to watch these videos but.. come on you want too.)

(BACKGROUND DANCERS, watch the short girl in front!!)

I stood center stage with my back to the audience, I coughed once attempting to signal the music. I looked over.

"How--"

"Wrong song!" I whispered, letting my mic catch it.

"Sorry!" Someone yelled backstage. It was supposed to happen. Then I heard the music start up and dropped my head. We all stood still until the lyrics started. London, Emma, Youna and Derrick sang the (what it believed was) Hawaiian lyrics and when they stopped I smiled and spun around, getting off the stage. I walked through the Audience waving at kids as the Hawaiian part still went on. Then mine came on and I ran center stage smiling happily.

"Tatou o tagata folau e vala'auina
E le atua o le sami tele e o mai
Ia ava'e le lu'itau e lelei
Tapenapena" I climbed off stage and began walking around, waving at Kids smiling happily. I passed by and didn't glance at Lin, I wanted him to wait a bit.

"Aue, aue
Nuku I mua
Te manulele e tataki e
Aue, aue
Te fenua, te malie,
Nae ko hakilia mo kaiga e!" I spun back around since I had reached the end of the lunch room and turned my mic on as I began singing.

"We read the wind and the sky
When the sun is high
We sail the length of sea
On the ocean breeze" I spun so I was walking backwards, making eye contact with Sebastian. I nodded and he ran forwards. I swooped him up in my arms, smiling at him.

At night we name every star
We know where we are
We know who we are, who we are!" I sang along with Sebastian and smiled as I passed my family and friends watching happily.

"Aue, aue,
We set a course to find
A brand new island everywhere we row!" I sang  as I set Sebastian down and we started attempting to Hula and he was actually really good at dancing. He followed my Choreography perfectly.

"Aue, aue,
We keep our island in our mind
And when it's time to find home
We know the way" I sang picking Sebastian up and twirling around before setting him down to go run back to Vanessa and Lin.

"Aue, aue, we are explorers reading every sign
We tell the stories of our elders
In the never ending chain." I sang gently as I was hoisted back on stage. I began doing the group choreography.

"Aue, aue
Te fenua, te mālie
Nā heko hakilia" I sang along with the group then everyone dropped onto their knees as I raised my hands and sung as loud as I could.

"We know the way!" Then, Blackout. People cheered as the curtains closed. People highfived on stage and we all went to go change back into our Hamilton costumes. I sighed as I looked at my right arm and noticed two or three scars that hadn't been completely covered. I sighed and shrugged, changing back into my Angelica costume. Now it's time to play Angelica.
