Justin parked his car in the small parking lot. Before Clarence was got out, he gently touched her arm. As she looked back towards him, he took her face in one of his hands and leaned forwards. When their lips touched, Clarence's hands landed on his waist, and she closed her eyes.

"What was that for?" She questions after he pulled away. A small smile graced her lips as she leaned into him.

"Because I can." Her eyes fluttered open to see his smiling face.

When she got out, Justin was there with his hand out. She gave him a soft smile and took his hand. When they entered the café, they were hit with a scent of coffee and pastries. Justin led Clarence to a small table by the window.

"Why did you choose this?" Justin looked around at café. It was swarming with locals who wanted their coffee before work.

"I wanted to spend time with you, and not just for English." Clarence shrugged, and looked down to hide the reddening in her cheeks. Justin smiled as grabbed her hand that was sitting on the table.

"Well I'm-"

"Hello, I'm Emma." A blonde hair girl came up to the table in the waitress uniform. Her shirt was unbutton to show her clevage while her skirt was a short to show her legs. "What can I get you?" She smiled at Justin, yet ignored Clarence. Justin didn't seem to notice as he just stared at his hand that was tangled with Clarence's.

"I'd like a cup of black raspberry tea." Clarence said softly. Emma looked over at her and gave a light glare.

"Excuse me? Speak up." Her voice turned nasty and her look became a glare. Justin squeezed Clarence's hand, and glared at Emma.

"Yes, excuse you. My girlfriend wants a black raspberry tea, and I'll have a cup of coffee. Also a blueberry muffin, do you want anything else, Clare?" Justin stared coldly at Emma.

"No thank you." Clarence smiled at Emma who glared back at her.

"Coming right up." Emma smile Justin, and touched his forearm before leaving resulting in an eye roll from Justin. Clarence moved her hand away from Justin's, and played with the ends of her hoodie.

"What's wrong?" Justin looked at Clarence with concern, and something else she couldn't place.

"Nothing, I'm fine." Clarence smiled at him as he shook his head.

"The waitress is just being a bitch. Don't worry about her." Justin gave Clarence a small smile.

"Yeah, I know." She smiled back to him, but kept pulling at her sleeves.

"Plus, you're so much better than her." Justin gave her a quick wink which earned him a small laugh.

"You are such a flirt." Clarence claimed with a huge smile on her face.

"Only with you, babe." His smile grew as Clarence laughed again.

"Pinky promise?" Clarence held her left hand out with a serious expression as Justin looked at her with amusement.

"Pinky promise." He grabbed her pinky with his own. Clarence quickly leaned forward, and kissed their intertwined pinkies.

"You can't break it if it's kissed on." Clarence replied to his confused look.

"Oh really?" He raised his eyebrow. His eyes held amusement as he looked at her smile. It was a rare genuine smile that he rarely got to enjoy.

"Yeah, that's why my mom always kissed pinky promises." Clarence smiled when thinking of her mother.
