Finn and Millie stayed in the room for a while. They weren't doing much of anything, just talking and occasionally making out. Neither of them cared about the party, they just wanted to be with each other.

Millie suddenly sat up, noticing how late it was getting, "I should probably check on Sadie." She said.

Finn nodded, and the two headed downstairs. When they got there, they saw that everyone had already left. They walked into the kitchen and saw Caleb sitting alone.

"Hey bud." Finn said, taking a seat beside him. Millie propped herself up and sat on the counter.

"Hey, I didn't realize you guys were still here." Caleb looked up at the two, an apparent frown on his face.

Millie furrowed her eyebrows, "Are you okay?" She asked, looking over at Finn, who was also confused.

Caleb shook his head, letting out a low sigh.

"What happened, dude?" Finn asked, looking worriedly at his best friend. He'd never seen him look this upset.

"Sadie Sink. That's what happened."

Millie's eyes widened at the sound of her best friends name. She looked back and forth between the two boys, her stomach growing nervous.

Finn sighed, shaking his head slightly, "I told you she was bad news."

Caleb rolled his eyes, "Yeah, that's not really what I wanna hear right now."

Finn looked down at the counter, "I know, I'm sorry. What happened?" He asked.

"She spent the entire night flirting with Jack, and then she left with him. Right in front of me, and didn't even say anything."

Millie felt bad for the boy, but she wasn't surprised. Finn looked over at Millie, giving her a knowing look. He had tried to warn Caleb about Sadie before.

Caleb looked towards Millie, his sad eyes causing the girl's stomach to ache with guilt, "does she even like me?" He asked. She could hear the desperation in his voice.

Millie wasn't sure what to tell him. She wasn't sure about any of this. "I don't know." She finally answered.

Caleb nodded, looking back towards Finn. "What if she tries to apologize tomorrow? I mean, maybe she was really drunk or something-"

Finn cut him off, "Caleb, she obviously doesn't care about you, or else she wouldn't have done that tonight."

Caleb nodded, "you're right. I'm ending things in the morning." He stood up and looked around, "so, you guys gonna help me clean this up?"

Finn looked towards Millie, "I gotta get Millie home, I'll come back to help in the morning."

Millie hopped off the counter and headed towards the door with Finn, waving goodbye to Caleb as they left.

"My parents are going to kill me for getting home this late." Millie sighed, looking at the time displayed in Finn's car.

Finn thought for a second, "I can take you to Sadie's?" He suggested.

Millie shook her head, "I don't think she's even home." She didn't know where Sadie was, and chances are she was still with Jack.

Finn nodded, taking a nervous glance around the car, "you could, uh, spend the night at my place?"

Millie felt her cheeks heating up. He wanted her to spend the night? She'd never spent the night at a boys house.

Millie could feel her eyes growing heavy, and she gave Finn a nervous smile, "Okay."

"We have to sneak in through the window. You'll have to climb, okay?"

Millie nodded at the boy, looking up the side of his house. There was an old wooden ladder leading up to a window, which she assumed was Finns.

He gave her a reassuring smile, "You'll go first so I can catch you if you fall."

"Too late for that." She mumbled, the words spilling out before her tired mind could process them.

Finn furrowed his eyebrows at the girl, "what was that?"

Millie quickly shook her head, "nothing." She replied, taking her first step on the ladder.

She climbed up with ease, even though her entire body was exhausted. She climbed through the window and took a long look around Finns room. It was a typical boys room, with blue walls and a black comforter. There was a Twin Peaks poster hung up over his bed and a record player on his night stand.

"Sorry, it's a little messy." Finn laughed, climbing in through the window a few seconds after Millie.

Millie turned towards him, "I like it."

Finn smiled and walked towards his closet, pulling out a plain blue sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, "you can wear this if you want." He handed the clothes to Millie, giving her a small shrug.

"Turn around." She said.

Finn did as he was told and turned towards the wall while Millie changed. "Okay. You can look now." She laughed, looking at herself in the mirror. The sweatshirt was baggy and the sweatpants could barely stay up.

Finn looked her up and down, letting out a small laugh, "I think it looks cute."

Millie smiled, yawning a little as she did so, "let's go to bed." She walked towards Finns bed and got in.

Finn watched the girl get under his covers, "I can sleep on the floor if you want."

Millie shook her head slowly, "No, it's okay." She patted the spot next to her, giving him a small smile.

Finn nodded, walking towards his bed and getting in beside her. He kept as much distance between them as he could, making sure Millie was comfortable.

As soon as Millie lied down, her eyes grew heavy, and she was fast asleep in a few minutes. Finn closed his eyes and listened to her steady breathing, drifting off soon after.
