"Iris, are you sure about this?"

Iris sighed, looking over at Jaeden and giving him a knowing glance. "Millie and Finn love each other, it's clear to everyone but them."

"That's true. But wouldn't Millie be mad at us? She told us not to get involved."

Iris frowned. "I know, but I have to do something. They deserve to be together, after everything that's happened. He just needs to admit he likes her."

Jaeden nodded, though he wasn't fully convinced that it was right for them to intervene. "If you say so. I just hope this works."

Iris smiled at the boy. "Trust me, it will."

She had come up with a plan, one that would hopefully get Finn to admit how he felt. Millie still liked him, that was clear to Iris by her rebellious new ways. But Finn, Iris wasn't so sure.

Jaeden nervously glanced around the park he was pulling into. It was dark outside and looked as if it would storm soon. "Iris, how do we know he's even here?"

Iris shrugged. "Well, we don't. But Millie told me they met at a park, so it's likely."

Once Jaeden stopped the car, Iris stepped out and glanced around, keeping her eyes out for a dark head of hair.

After a few seconds, she saw a boy sitting on his skateboard. "I see him! Be right back!" She gave Jaeden one last reassuring smile before shutting the car door and walking towards the boy on his skateboard.

"Hey, Wolfhard!" She called to him, walking up and flashing her best smile.

"What do you want, Iris?" He harshly asked, keeping his eyes on the ground.

She ignored his attitude and continued on, "well, I was wondering if you were doing anything Friday night?"

This caused Finn to slowly look up at the girl, "um, no?" He replied, though it sounded more like a question.

"We should go out. On like, a date." She smiled sweetly, hoping Finn couldn't tell she was being fake. This was hard for her to do, but she knew it would work. It had to.

"I don't think so." He shrugged his shoulders and looked back at the ground.

Iris frowned, feeling slightly offended even though she wasn't really asking him out. "What? Why not?" She took a deep breath, knowing exactly why he said no, but needing to hear him say it.

Finn thought for a moment, not responding and instead looking around him. "I like someone else." He finally spoke.

Iris' eyes went wide. She knew it all along, but hearing him say it meant the plan had worked. "Millie." Iris whispered, but it was loud enough for Finn to hear.

Finn nodded, "it doesn't matter, she hates me now anyways" he shrugged, "I messed up, pushing her away like I did. Now she smokes and skips class, she's changed and it's all my fault."

Iris wasn't sure what else to say. Everything he said was true. "You need to tell her how you feel." She finally said.

"I want to, but I doubt she cares anymore." Finn ran his hands through his hair and sighed. All he wanted was Millie. He didn't understand how everything got so messed up.

Iris frowned a little, "maybe, but I know she still likes you. She always has Finn."

Finn nodded, Iris' words replaying in his head as he stood up. "I'll see you later, Iris." He gave her a small smile before riding off.

"Bye, Wolfhard!" She waved one last time before the boy disappeared. She walked back go Jaeden's car, feeling small raindrops start to fall as she went.

Iris was unsure of what would happen next between the two, but the feelings they had for each other were undeniable, and that she was sure of.
