"So what did you do at school today?" Maya asked her son as they walked hand in hand from the subway back to their apartment, having declined Farkle's offer to drive them.

"We played soccer. It was so fun, i made 5 new friends!" Luke said, putting out 3 fingers.

"Oh thats nice." Maya smiled at him as he looked up at her, returning her smile with a cheeky grin.

"Yea, their names were Michael, Karin, Don, Elliot and Lilly. But Lilly is my best friend. She doesnt like playing soccer with me and the boys though. She likes playing dolls. Ew. But we like drawing together and playing games. I always sit with her. She's my best friend."

"Wow," Maya chuckled, "Seems like you have had a fun day, huh."

"Mmhm. But i keep forgetting to call Aunt Riley Mrs M." He pouted.

"Well, when Aunt Riley, Uncle Farkle and I were in school, she called God Grandpa Cory Daddy when she was supposed to call him Mr Mathews. So its okay."

"Really?"

"Yea."

"Okay. Thats good." He seemed much more relieved.

Maya chuckled as they arrived at the apartment.

"Lilly, did you have fun today?" Lucas asked as he carried his sleepy daughter home.

"Yea. I made alot of friends. Karin, Ellie, Sarah and more. But my favourite was Luke. He gave me his cookie. I love cookie." Lilly slurred sleepily, licking her lips at the mention of food, making her father chuckle as they reached their house.

"Daddy." Lilly suddenly said. "Lets look at pictures of mommy. Remember that time when she gave me lots of cuddles and she baked? We had that big cupcake too! On the day she disappeared."

Lucas sighed happily at memories of his deceased wife as he looked at his daughter. "It was as big as your little head."

Lilly grinned, "Tasty too. I miss Mommy. Luke gets tons of cuddles from his mommy. I wish i had one."

"Does Luke have a daddy?" Lucas asked curiously after a moment of silence braced them.

"Nah uh. He told me. His mommy loved him enough for two people."

Lucas didnt reply, he only looked at his daughter thoughtfully as she succumbed to the depths of slumber in his arms.
