The police ran in armed, while the guards immediately surrendered, betraying their employer completely, as Missy started having a panic attack and Bianca cried despairingly.
Riley, Lucas and Farkle abandoned their weapons, running to untie Maya and the kids. Maya leapt into Lucas' arms before turning rapidly to hug Riley and Farkle, while Lilly clung onto Lucas' neck as he carried her and Luke clung onto his leg.
Riley was the first to notice Bianca being approached by a police, looking terrified. Pity engulfed her as Riley Mathews excused herself from the group and ran toward Bianca before the police officer reached the frightened girl.
"Mrs M!" She cried, hugging Riley tightly as she embraced the girl back. Standing up, Riley looked at the police officer, not letting go of Bianca's tiny hand.
"What's gonna happen to her?" Riley asked the officer as he cleared his throat.
"Her mother was mentally unstable, so its impossible for the girl to be back with her mother even if she was released from prison. Bianca will be sent to foster care if her grandparents, who, according to Ms Bradford, do not like Bianca, refuse to take her in. Its a high possibility she will be put into the system."
"How 'bout Blanche?"
"They... may be split up." And that was what scared Riley the most.

Riley had always loved kids, no matter their heritage or parentage. So, the words of the officer rang in her mind for the whole day, even when Maya, Lucas and Farkle gathered at the Minkus Family's bay window that Riley had forced her husband to build upon her move in.
"I never knew Missy was mentally unstable."
"It got well known after you left for Texas... but the police were bribed away, especially when Bianca was born."
"Speaking of Bianca, what will happen to Blanche? If that was even true."
"What will happen to Bianca?"
"Riley? Riley!" The three of them huddled around their goofy friend, who stared lifelessly out of the window, hardly blinking.
"What? Im up!" She yelled, startled.
Maya rolled her eyes. "You spoke to the officer earlier. What'll happen to them?"
Riley sighed, uttering two simple words: "The system."
Silence.
