Josh: I can't do this
Tyler: Yes you can! You're amazing, Josh.
Should I call ?
Josh: Yeah...
- Incoming call from Skeleton -
Josh answered the call with shaking hands, "Tyler, I'm going to mess it up so bad and everyone will hate me!"
Tyler held the phone tight to his ear, plugging his other with his finger, "Josh, you're amazing. You're truly amazing. You practice trumpet more than you do drums and you're the best drummer I know!"
"But I'm nervous and I always screw up when I'm nervous."
"You're nervous when we play gigs but you do amazing," Tyler stayed behind in the locker-room as everyone else filed out onto the court, screw what the coach had to say. If he couldn't be at his best friend's concert he could at least be there for him over the phone before-hand.
"But it's not quite as obvious when I mess up!"
"Josh. It's okay. Even if you do mess up, no one will hate you for it. Your anxiety is just getting to you, warping your thoughts. Peace will win, fear will lose. Remember that. You've got this, Josh. I believe in you."
"Yeah, okay. Thanks, Tyler. You have to get to your game now don't you?"
"Yeah, but if you still need me, I'll stay."
"No, it's okay. I'm good now. Peace will win, fear will lose. Thanks. Good luck tonight."
"You too, Spooky."
