Tyler sludged through the dirty snow piled up on the sidewalks as he made his way to the store. It was noon on a Sunday, just after church, and Christmas Eve was just four days away. He had to get Josh a present. He knew he should've done this forever ago but time had a way of slipping out from under his feet.
Tyler started humming a tune to himself that soon grew into him softly singing, "Oh, Ms. Believer, my pretty sleeper. Your twisted mind is like snow on the road. Your shaking shoulders prove that it's colder, inside your head, than the winter of dead."

Tyler waited on Josh's front porch with a rudolph-decorated gift bag in hand. After Josh let him in, Tyler sat the bag down on the table by the door and they performed their handshake.
"What'd ya get me," Tyler joked as he traded the bag spurting red tissue paper with the snowflake-gift-wrapped box, slightly smaller than a shirt box, that Josh held.
"Open that and you'll see," Josh smiled.
Josh had gotten Tyler a bunch of blank sheet music. Tyler had gotten Josh a hat that was basically a baseball cap and a beanie mixed together. Josh had always said he wished something like that existed, and it turned out that it did. They were both ecstatic and hugged each other. It was only noon so they decided to chill in Josh's room watching a Christmas movie. They chose "Frosty Returns" because they both had always found it cute. That and "The Happy Elf". Tyler had to leave right after because his family was going over to his grandparents for supper at six.
