Chapter 11

He did not call me.

Jessica practically lived with us now.

My mom took her in after all the problems that happened in her family.

"What's it like... Being in a relationship?" She asked.

"It's different. I mean, you cry tears but tears are just moving memories right? It's mostly fun stuff though. But crying is apart of the package."

"So do you think you'll get married?"

"I'm 16, that's not gonna happen soon." I said.

"How are you so happy? Like you make is seem like you were so depressed, then you just bounced into happiness."

"I never bounced back, I fell in love. I fell in love with the person I will either die with or die because. You never really know."

"So either way you die?"

"Inside yes." I smiled.

"You really love him don't you."

"With every bone and scar of my body I do." I said.

"That's sweet."

My phone finally rang.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey... Can you meet me at the park?"

"I uh... I don't know."

"Keep me posted."

He hang up.

"I need to go to the park, are you fine alone?"

"I practically live here I guess I am." She said.

"Thanks... See you."

I walked down the narrow streets soaking in the rest of summer. I sat on a bench and waited for him.

He finally came about 20 minutes after I texted him.

He greeted me with an unusual hug.

"What's this all about?" I laughed.

"I just want to spend time with you."

"Don't we always? I mean we have forever Zach."

"We never have forever." He said.

"Okay? I hope this isn't some break up." I said.

He shook his head.

"I wouldn't break your heart. Your heart is my heart. Is our heart. Two broken pieces make a whole. There is always a way for two rigid edges too meet. Even if they aren't perfect." He said.

"But I'm not letting go, and were a perfect fit." I said.

"Your my perfect fit." He kissed me.

"I love you so much Zach." I said.

"I love you bailey shale, from now to the end, I love you."

"I'll love you forever."

"There is never a forever. It's from now too the end."

"What? I thought we promised, from now till forever."

"Bailey, forever doesn't exist. I know this. You know this."

"Even after death though... Remember... We'd love each other after death."

"Bailey, I'll always love you, period, forever or no forever, I love you. That's it. Nothing more nothing less. I just love you. And that's all I can feel. I love you bailey. There isn't another feeling more."

I didn't know whether to feel enlightened or insulted.

"We hurt the ones we love bailey, so I only love you, nothing more, I don't want to hurt you."

"You couldn't possibly hurt me Zach. I have the power within myself to hurt, you don't." I said into his eyes.

"But I have the power to hold you up and love you, I also have the power to break you."

"That's the thing about love, you give someone the power to break you with just three words, but you trust them not too." I said.

"But that's what I fear, losing your trust, breaking you."

"You never know what you can become, but the fear lies within itself. I promised not to break, now don't you break on me either."

"What if one day I do break though? What if one day I shatter and just cry?"

"There is a difference between breaking and crying. Tears are just moving memories. They're your brains way of erasing the hurt and clearing away the fogginess so you can see the world on a better scale." I said.

"Why look at this world when it's so terrible?"

"We already had this conversation Zach, so you can see the things you love and enjoy them." I kissed him.

"Thank you." He said.

"What?"

"For being there for me when I needed you most." He said.

"Your scaring me Zach what's going on?" I asked.

"Nothing."

His sleeve adjusted and revealed newly opened cuts and scars.

I gasped. He fixed his sleeves.

"Bailey I can explain."

"You broke." I whispered.

He went to hug me. I pushed him away.

"Don't talk to me until there gone." I stormed away.

"Bailey," he grabbed my arm.

"No! I don't want too see you like this! Why Zach? What is so bad in your life that made you do that? You have me now! Is that not enough for you? Of all people Zach people expected it too be me to break but no! It was you! What did you want out of it? Attention? Did I not give you enough? You want pain? Then have it because I'm done until those scars are gone. Faded. Because I feel that's what your love for me has done. Faded."

I stormed off.

"Bailey... Please!" He cried.

"No Zach. You've cause me enough pain already, all you've ever done to me is injure me. Heal and then talk to me."

"Bailey I can't heal with out you."

"Find a way because you did it before."

Tears swarmed my face.

My brain was trying to erase the memories I had with Zach.

But I knew that wouldn't work.

Deep in my mind I knew I still loved him.

From now to forever right?

I hate to say it but were nearing the end of this book.
