Chapter 3
After school i walked to the park with Zach.
"How long have we known each other?" He asked.
"I'd say a couple weeks, since the first day of school after thanksgiving break right?" I looked at him.
He swung his head to look back at me.
"Yeah, I'd say that too. But the thing is the word 'I'd' is a mixed word of I and would, so I would say it," he smirked at me.
"But it feels like I've known you forever, bailey."
I blushed and smiled at him.
"Why did you ask?" He said staring at my hand.
"Just... Just wondering." I stuttered.
He made me nervous, but a good kind of nervous.
We sat on a bench next to each other in the cold December afternoon.
"You've changed." He stared deeply into my eyes.
I stared back at his emerald green eyes.
"What do you mean?" I said my heart took a dip.
"When I first met you, you were so sad, but now your just, not, your happy." He smiled.
"I think I know why." I said.
He smiled.
"I met someone." I looked at his lips.
"So did I." He breathed in as I leaned closer.
My phone buzzed.
Mom:
I need you home now.
"Sorry I gotta go." I stood up.
"Let me uh, walk you Home." He scratched the back of his head.
"Hey maybe I'll see you at midnight." I laughed remembering our first walk at night.
"Yeah." He smiled.
We walked silently to my house. When we reached my street he spoke.
"Promise me you won't go sad again. Can I uh say something?" He said.
"Like a secret?" I asked.
"Kinda, yea."
I nodded, "of course."
"Whenever you smile, it makes me so... I don't know, happy isn't the word-"
"Can I say something too." I said.
He nodded, "sure."
"That smile only exists when I'm with you, nothing else can make me better like you do." I said.
"Then it's a deal." He says.
"What?"
"I'll make you happy, and you make me happy." He said.
I smiled.
"Thanks." I said walking up my steps.
"Anytime." He smiled.
I walked in to see my mom and dr. Tressbee in the kitchen.
"Mom? Kitchen please." I said.
"Why is she here?" I asked.
"I told you if ur little problem got out of hand she wld come into it, and it did." She said.
"Mom I'm fine, I'm better now."
