I sucked in a large breath and coughed.

I lay on a rock.

My clothes were soaked.

I was already in tears.

My face was scratched and I was covered in blood.

It was daylight.

Zach was behind me.

"Go away! Leave me! Never come back! You don't know the pain you've caused me!"

"Stop. Bailey. You didn't need to die."

"There wasn't a pain more hurtful than the one you caused. I needed to die. I still do."

"Bailey let me heal you."

"And let you hurt me again? No!"

"Bailey I cut for a reason! You cut for a reason!"

"But we promised not too cut. Remember?" I asked.

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry doesn't mean a thing. It's a word, Zach, it has no meaning unless you prove it."

"Bailey I saved your life."

"You could've just killed me. Let me die because that's what you already did."

"Bailey."

"I might look like I'm alive, but in here... I'm dead. It's dead. All of me is dead. The only way I'm living is my heart still beats. But I could die at any moment if I wanted too. We live life on a high wire Zach. With the constant fear of falling."

"Bailey."

"Stop. Let me go. Just let it go Zach. You broke a promise. You broke me."

He was in tears.

"Let me die."

"I love you Bailey, you can jump from that bridge a million times. But I would dive in after you and save you. A million times. Forever. Because I love you."

"You don't. If you loved me we wouldn't be here."

"I do, I love you because I came after you. I jumped in after you jumped off of that bridge. I thought if she dies, I die anyway so I'll die with her. But I lived so I thought you had to live with me. So I saved you."

"Zach, if you loved me you wouldn't have cut."

"I cut because I love you."

"That doesn't make any sense! I'm done with you. Just leave me alone."

I walked away shivering.

My phone was somewhere at the bottom of that pond. I had to find my way home alone.

"Need a ride?" Zach pulled up.

"Fine. But don't talk to me."

I stepped into the back seat.

"Now don't jump out on me." He joked.

"Maybe I will. Didn't I tell you not too talk to me."

"Yeah... But I love you soo."

"Shut up! You don't stop lying."

"Yes i-"

"I will jump out of this car."

We drove to my house and I ran into the house.

I started shaking.

"What has happened to you bailey?" Jessica creeped down the stairs.
