Part 23

*Luke's P.O.V*

I was walking down the hall back to the dressing room when i heard Alex yelling at someone, i walked around the corner and saw her standing there on the phone, she was staring at it shocked, i looked closer and saw tears running down her face. "Alex? Whats wrong?" I asked, walking towards her. "I have to go" She whispered, whipping away the tears. "What?" I asked, "I have to go" she repeated a little louder, walking down the hallway. "Alex" i called after her, but nothing. Something is not right, i made my way into the dressing room. "Hey mate" Calum smiled, "You alright?" Michael asked, "Alex just left" I said, looking at them, they looked at me shocked. "What do you mean she just left?" Calum asked. "She just kept saying i have to go, i have to go and then she just walked off" I said, "Its alright mate, shes probably just tired" Michael shrugged, "No, she was crying, somethings wrong" i shook my head, "Im gunna go see if shes alright, tell Ash ill be back" i said as i walked out of the dressing room, i got one of the bodyguards to take back to the hotel, i walked into the lobby and saw Alex just coming out of the elevator. She looked up at me, "Alex? Where are you going?" I asked, she looked down at the ground, whipping away my tears. "I have to go home" she half whispered, "Why?" I asked, "Look, Luke i cant explain this to you right now, im sorry" she said, pushing past me, i followed her outside. She hailed a cab and put her bags in the boot, as she opened the door she looked back at me, "Tell Ashton im sorry" she said as she hopped in. "Alex wait" i said, but it was too late, she was gone. I just stood there in shock, i hopped back into the car and made my way back to the arena, once we arrived i slowly made my way back to the dressing room, collapsing on the couch, putting my head in my hands. "Im so sorry, i tried to stop her"

*Ashton's P.O.V*

"Hey guys have you seen Alex?" i asked the guys as i walked into the dressing room, "Nah mate, Lukes gone too" Michael shrugged, "He said that Alex was crying and she kept saying she had to go and then she just left" Calum said, "So he said he was gunna follow her" he finished, Why would she just leave? i thought to myself, i was about to call her when Luke walked back in and collapsed on the couch, putting his head in his hands. "Whats up mate?" I said as i sat beside him. "I'm so sorry, i tried to stop her" he mumbled, "What are you on about mate" i asked, he looked up at me and he had tears in his eyes, "She just left, shes gone. She packed her bags and got in a cab, i tried to stop her, i followed her back to the hotel, i tried, i really did but she just left" He said, "She said shes sorry" he whispered, putting his head back in his hands. Shes gone. "Its okay mate, its fine. I'll call her after the show once we get back to the hotel" i half smiled, i had to stay strong right now, no matter how much my heart was breaking. "Lets do this boys" i smiled, trying to convince myself everything would be okay. We went on and did an awesome show, i tried to push Alex to the back of my mind but i just couldnt, the show was over and we finally made it back to the hotel. I walked in, leaving the door open and ran to the room. I saw the hotel key and a note with Ash xx written on the top, i sat on the bed and picked up the note, hands shaking, i opened it and began to read. 

Dear Ashton, im sorry i have to leave like this, but i just cant do this anymore. You have no idea how much it hurts me to do this but i have no choice, if i dont leave, you'll get hurt and i cant let you get hurt because of me. This is killing me, and you have no idea how sorry i am, i dont mean to break your heart, but we have to go our separate ways. Im doing this for your safety. Please dont hate me and please dont come looking for me when you get back. This is goodbye. I will always love you Ashton Irwin. Alex

Tears were now running down my face, i crumpled up the letter and threw it at the wall, letting out a scream of frustrations. "Ashton, mate" Calum said as he walked in, he sat down on the bed and pulled me in for a hug, "She..She br-broke up wi-with me" i cried, "Why wou-would she d-do that?" i asked, crying into Calums shoulder. "She must have a good reason mate, she loves you to death" he said, rubbing my back. "Well obviously not if she just left" i yelled, pushing him off me and standing up. Luke and Michael soon ran into the room, "She just left, after everything" i yelled, i started to throw the pillows and sheets everywhere out of anger. "Mate, calm down" Michael said, sitting me on the bed. Luke picked up the letter and un-crumpled it. "What does she mean by your own safety?" he asked, i shrugged, too exhausted to talk. My heart was hurting and my head was spinning. The girl i had fallen absolutely and completely in love with had just left me, for a reason i didnt understand.
