Cody's POV
Jennifer is leaving for tour soon within the next few days, and the kids and I are, sadly, not going with her. It saddens me that I can't go with her, so we decided to help her with packing her bags, and I'm actually packing mine and the kids' bags, because we're flying to Ohio to visit my Mom in the meantime, while Jennifer is gone. Our flight to leave for Ohio is at 8:00 am, and Jennifer's flight to her first tour stop, being Portland, Oregon, is at 9:30 am, so we all woke up at 4:00 am and left by 5:00 am. By the time we got to the airport, Jennifer and I went ahead and checked our bags in while I stayed with the twins. You're probably wondering where our daughter Lycia Faith is. Well, we decided to leave her with Jennifer's parents while Jennifer's gone because they just moved to California, and they offered to stay at our house and watch the baby, since she's only 4 months old. Once Jennifer got our bags checked in, we made our way to security and then made our way to our designated gates. Once we arrived at my gate, the twins were starting to get a little antsy, so Jennifer went ahead and bought them some food so they could eat, since they didn't have any breakfast yet. My flight with the twins is about 5 hours and 55 minutes long, so, to be safe, Jennifer bought a lot of food for them so they could be occupied. 30 minutes later, our flight was announced to start boarding, so I carried the boys while I held onto the food and his backpack. As we were boarding, I started noticing that Jennifer was tearing up. "It's ok, baby. Your tour is going to be so much fun. We'll miss you so much. And we'll be back in LA by the time you have your tour stop there." I said as I kissed her forehead. "Bye Mommy, love you." Grayson and Liam smiled as they waved at their Mommy. "Bye babies. Be good for Daddy and Grandma." Jennifer smiled as she kissed both Grayson and Liam. As we walked onto the plane, the flight attendants were very fascinated with the twins because the boys were smiling at them and being really sweet. Once we found our seats, we were lucky enough that we got the whole row to ourselves, so I had the twins sit in the middle and the window seat while I was at the end near the aisle.
------5 hours, 55 minutes later------
We finally have arrived in Dayton, Ohio. It feels so good to be back in my hometown and state. I texted my Mom that we have just landed, and she replied saying that she's on her way to pick us up. We walked over to baggage claim and picked up our bags, then headed outside to the pick-up area. We waited outside for about 15 minutes, until I spotted my favorite car in my life. The big, black van. The twins and I waved our hands so we could be spotted. My Mom spotted us and slowly drove over to where we were. She got out of the car so she could greet us. "Hey Mom. It's so nice to see you again." I smiled as I hugged my Mom. We were in the embrace for about 2 minutes until we pulled away so my Mom could greet Grayson and Liam. "And there's Grandma's favorite boys." My Mom said as the twins ran up to my Mom and gave her hugs. She picked them up and gave them a lot of kisses. "The boys missed you a lot Mom." I smiled. "Well, Grandma missed them a lot too." Mom smiled as she kissed the boys on their cheek. "I bought the boys new carseats so whenever you guys come over, they have somewhere to sit and stay safe." My Mom said. "Aww, you didn't have to do that." I smiled as we got into the car and drove to my Mom's house. 30 minutes later, we finally arrived at my Mom's house, which was the place where I grew up. I grabbed Grayson and my Mom grabbed Liam from the back and we carried them inside the house. "So when is Jennifer supposed to be at her first tour stop?" My Mom asked. "The first show of her dance tour is in Portland, Oregon, so her flight was just after ours, so she should probably be there by now." I replied. "Do you know which venue in Portland she's dancing at?" My Mom asked. "I believe she's going to be dancing at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland." I replied. "I heard that place is really nice." My Mom said. "I've seen a bunch of pictures of it, and it does look pretty cool." I smiled as we joined the rest of the family on the couch to watch TV.
