------A few months later------
Jennifer's POV
Today is July 25, 2028, and today is the day that we are celebrating baby Chicago. Cody and I haven't decided on a nickname yet for her, and since her name is so unique, it's kind of hard to think of a nickname for her. But, it came to us that we finally had a cute nickname in mind. Being that her name is Chicago Gracelynn, we're going to call her "Grace." Cody and my brother David ran to the grocery store and the party store to grab some last minute things for the party this afternoon. Since we wanted to go with something simple, they went to the party store to grab a big balloon that said "baby," and that's all we really needed. We had everything else, all we had to do was set it up. By the time Cody and David got home, all the settings for the table were all set up, the only thing we needed help on was putting the streamers up, which we would leave Cody and David to do. The guests should start arriving at around 2:30 pm, and it is now 2:00 pm.
All the guests started arriving and brought gifts over for baby Chicago. We had a table set up near the front door where all the guests could place their presents for the baby. For now, all the kids are taking a good nap, so when they wake up, they have a good amount of energy for the games we have planned. Since the party has already started, Cody and I decided to give an introduction for all the guests. "First off, Jenn and I would love to thank everyone for coming here this afternoon. We are so incredibly blessed that you all are here today to help us celebrate our new bundle of joy coming into the world, Chicago Gracelynn." Cody smiled as all the guests clapped. "Yes. Cody and I are so blessed to have all of you in our lives, including baby Chicago. So, without further a do, let's get this party started." I clapped as the guests went to their own places.
As the guests were enjoying the food and fun times, I went around to everyone and thanked them for coming. Cody soon followed after me and did the same. After we were done, I sat down on the couch and took a rest for a little bit. "Sis, are you hungry? Do you want me to get some food for you?" David asked. I took a deep breath and adjusted myself on the couch. "If you can, yes please. I'm kind of hungry right now." I replied. "Ok, I'll be back with some food." David replied as he went to go get me food, and he came back after 10 minutes with my food. "I got you a little bit of everything because I wasn't sure what you wanted." David said. "This is fine. Thanks, David." I smiled. I sat down on the couch with David and we ate our food together. After a few minutes go by, after I finished my food, I decided to go upstairs and take a quick nap because I was feeling really tired for some reason. All the kids were still asleep, which is surprising, but it's a good thing because Cody wouldn't have to worry about them at the moment.
------1 hour later------
After a good 1 hour nap, I felt recharged. And just in time, most of the kids woke up, except for Elle and Daniel. I went to go grab Cody first so he could help me with the kids. We went upstairs to go retrieve the kids, first Grayson and Liam, then Lycia Faith. After we went to go grab them, they all got super excited when they saw David. Grayson and Liam jumped down from Cody's arms and ran towards him. Then when Lycia Faith saw my Dad, she was the happiest little girl I've ever seen. Her and my Dad get along so well, it makes me happy as a daughter to see her own daughter be really happy with her grandpa. 30 minutes went by, and Elle and Daniel finally woke up. Cody assisted me with getting Elle and Daniel because I felt too huge to pick up two kids at once. Once we got them, we brought them downstairs to enjoy the fun and games.
------A few hours later; After the party ended------
It's been a few hours since the party ended, and it's been such a fun day. Cody and I are so overwhelmed with all the gifts we've received for baby Chicago. After we've opened all the gifts, Cody organized them into the big plastic box with all of Chicago's clothes in it. We still don't have a set theme for baby Chicago's nursery, but we're still in the process of finding ideas for a nursery theme.
