Cody's POV
We only have a few months left until baby Chicago comes. Jennifer is now about 8 months along, so we only have 1 more month left to finish getting everything ready. Baby Chicago's nursery is almost finished, we just need to order the wall decal for her room and purchase her furniture. We didn't want too much details in her room, besides the tree I painted on her accent wall, and her wall decal that has her first & middle name all in white letters with a little design over top & along the bottom of the name, which will go on the pink wall next to where her crib will be. (A.N. - A picture of what the wall decal would look like, but with the name "Chicago Gracelynn" is posted above). After we ordered her wall decal, we were surprised that it arrived after 3 days. When it arrived, I quickly put the decal on her nursery wall. Finally, my daughter's nursery is complete. Jennifer came upstairs to check out the finished product, she was super surprised. "Babe, it looks perfect." She smiled. "Thanks babe. I know Chicago will feel at home when she sleeps in her nursery." I smiled.
------A few days later------
A few days have passed, and Jennifer is almost at the 9 month mark. Today is September 3, 2028, and Jennifer is due on September 25. Jenn's parents invited us over for lunch so we could catch up on our lives. Jennifer requested for her Mom to make her famous Chicken Alfredo that everybody loves, and her Dad is making his famous Clam Chowder that he makes from scratch. They didn't want us to bring anything, but we wanted to contribute something, so Jennifer made some baked asparagus and sprinkled salt and pepper on top. After Jennifer finished cooking, we made our way over to her parent's house. We knocked on the door three times before it was answered by her Mom. "Come in, guys." Mom smiled as she took our dish and brought it to the table. We followed her to the kitchen where Dad was finishing his Clam Chowder. "Hey guys, glad you could make it." Dad smiled. "We're glad to be here." Jennifer smiled. "So Jenn, how's your pregnancy so far?" I asked. "So far, everything is going well." She smiled. "How far along are you?" Dad asked. "Well, I just had my last doctor's appointment this morning, and right now, I'm about 38 weeks pregnant." Jenn replied. "Wow, so you're already 9 months then?" Mom asked. "Yes I am." She replied. "Your brother David should be coming in a few minutes now, so we'll get started with eating as soon as he arrives." Mom smiled.
Jennifer's POV
Cody helped my Dad with setting the table while my Mom and I brought the food over. We sat down and got our servings of food. "So are you guys prepared for Baby Chicago?" David asked. "Yes, we're pretty much ready. We just finished the nursery today before we came here." Cody said. "That's great to hear." Mom smiled. "When are you guys due again?" Dad asked. "I'm due on September 25." I replied. "Wow, that's amazing!" David smiled. "Do you guys have a nursery for her?" David asked. "Yes we do. We've decided though that we'll have her sleep in our room for the first month or two, and then we're putting her in her nursery." I replied. "That sounds like a good idea." I smiled. "We wanted to go with a pink, white, and grey nursery theme. Would you guys like to see her nursery?" Cody said. "That would be lovely. Thank you guys." Mom smiled. After we finished eating lunch, we showed them pictures of what baby Chicago's nursery looks like, as well as what the other kids' rooms look like at the moment. Each room had their first letter of their first name on the door. Grayson and Liam have a "G" and "L" on their door, Lycia Faith has a "LF" on her door, Elle and Daniel have a "E" and a "D" on their door, and baby Chicago has a "C" on her door. And next to each door, only Grayson and Liam right now, is a picture of Cody and I holding them when they were just born. "I really love how you guys designed the hallway for the kids." Dad said. "Thanks Dad." Cody smiled.
------A few hours later------
When we got home after having lunch at my parent's house, Cody went back to work to finish up some things, while I went to the kitchen and cleaned up a little bit. After I finished cleaning up, I went up to our room and laid down and watched some TV.
In just a few more weeks, I'll be in the hospital waiting to have my baby girl. And before we know it, she will be here.
