------8 months pregnant------
Jennifer's POV
Today is August 25, 2028, and this marks exactly one more month until my baby Girl arrives, and I'm honestly so excited for her to come. And since it's only one month away, Cody and I have to start preparing for her nursery. Speaking of the nursery, we finally came up with an idea on how we want it to look like. So, Cody and I decided that we will paint all the walls of her nursery a baby pink color, except the wall that will have the main accent in her nursery, which will be a tree that Cody will be painting, and that wall will be a light gray color. Cody called my brother David over to come help him buy the paint and paint the walls. They just left about 15 minutes ago to buy the paint at Lowe's. I decided to stay home because I'm not allowed to inhale the smell of the paint, which has some chemicals in it, and I know that would harm the baby.
Grayson, Liam, and Lycia Faith are staying with my parents for the next few days while Cody and David are painting the walls in the nursery because I don't want them to mess with the paint while they're working. As for Elle and Daniel, they're staying here with me because I still need to tend to them. After 30 minutes went by, I put Elle and Daniel down for their naps, and while I decided to take a nap as well. A few minutes after I went to sleep, I heard Cody and my brother David come home, and start preparing the nursery to paint the walls.
------Later that night; 7:30 pm------
It is now 7:30 pm, and Cody and David were actually able to finish painting all of the walls, including the accent wall. I walked into the nursery to see what it looked like. "Wow, this is amazing. Great job, guys!" I smiled. "I'm glad it fits your liking." Cody smiled. "David, why don't you sleep here tonight? So you won't have to bother Mom and Dad at home while they're with the kids." Cody suggested. "Yeah Dave, you should stay here!" I smiled. "Well, if it's ok with you both, it's ok with me too." David smiled. "Ok great, I'll go get the guest room prepared for you." I smiled as I made my way to the guest room to fix it for David.
------4 days later------
Now that 4 days have passed, all the walls were dry, and it was time for Cody to start painting the tree on the accent wall, which would be the light gray wall. He started painting shortly after we finished breakfast, so he got started right away. And surprisingly, he finished painting the whole tree within 3-4 hours. And to my surprise, he added a few more accents to the tree, which he painted some birds near the top of the tree. Once he was done, I heard him close the nursery door shut, and went straight to our room to take a shower. After a few hours have gone by, and we both took decent naps, we wanted to show me what the finished product looked like. "Babe, want to see the finished product of the nursery?" Cody asked. "Umm, of course I do!" I smiled as I walked with Cody over to the nursery. "Ok, here is the finished product." Cody smiled as he opened the door.
Once he opened the door, I was in so much shock. "Baby, this is, amazing. It's everything I've wanted for Chicago's nursery." I smiled as I started to tear up a little bit. "Awww baby, why are you crying?" Cody asked as he gave me a hug. "Ohh, it's nothing. I'm just really happy that everything I wanted for our daughter is turning out the way I wanted it to be." I replied. "Babe, I'm so happy that it turned out the way you wanted. And I know that our daughter will appreciate everything." Cody smiled.
