See I told you!

Soon, I had a question. Of course, when you are really mad at someone, you don't just go on and start talking to them all of the sudden, so I slipped Grasshopper a note. It read: Are we almost to civilization yet? I'm tired of eating coconuts and berries.

She turned to me with a look that said "No". So, I ate a few more berries and kept going. By now we had reached a point where the desert ended and the forest began.

"YAY!!" I exclaimed. I was too happy to think about my embarrassment now, we had reached the halfway point! I started to run into the forest, unaware of where I was going. I heard Hops shout something at me, then start following my path. She kept shouting at me to stop, but I didn't listen. Up ahead, there was a perfect circle of trees. Confused, I skidded to a stop, and Grasshopper rushed to my side. She started trying to yank me away from the circle, but I was entranced by a purple glowing orb that was appearing in the middle of the ring.

I kept walking towards the glowing sphere, unaware that Hops was calling my name, frantic. I sat down, reached out my paw, and felt a buzz of electricity as my claw touched the bright orb. A huge burst of light, and I was blown back by an imaginary gust of wind. After that, everything went black.
