Poke's POV:

I reach home and change out of my shirt and clean out the blood stain on it. I decide to take a shower, change into my pajamas and just lay on my bed for a couple of minutes.

I sit up and start thinking about what happened at Harvey's. After a few minutes, I hear a knock on the door. I get up, walk to the door, and open it. Shane, Marnie, and Jas are on the other side. I felt my cheeks heat up and try to hide behind the door. Marnie and Jas giggle while Shane has a lopsided smile. Marnie speaks up, "Cute pajamas Poke. Is it ok if we come in?"  I nod hesitantly...

I open the door all the way for them. I feel a hug come from Jas and look down to see her. She speaks up, "You're like a giant teddy bear!" I couldn't help, but laugh at that and I hug Jas back. Jas and I let go of each other and I turn to Marnie and Shane. "I can make you three something if you want." Marnie speaks up, "That's kind of you dear, but we'll be fine." Jas goes up to Shane and hugs him and he picks her up. I see him smile that vibrant smile. I turn to Marnie and ask her my question that has been on my mind since I saw them.

"What did you three need?" I notice Marnie is holding two plastic bags and look up at her with confusion on my face. "I want Shane and Jas to spend the night here. I have something to do that will take up the whole night..." She laughs nervously. I know exactly what she's talking about. One day I got a letter from Lewis to find his purple... 'shorts'. The first day I looked all over town and couldn't find them. The next day I went to the ranch to talk to Marnie, I had to knock on her bedroom door and I found them there...

"Sure. I won't mind, but I only have one bed..." Marnie then goes back outside and comes in with one blow-up mattress. "Shane and you can use one of the beds and Jas can use the other." I felt even more heat in my cheeks. "M-Marnie... Why can't Shane just share a bed with Jas?" She gives me a smirk and speaks up, "You've shared a bed before, why not do it again?" I blush even more. "D-Does Sh-Shane know the sleeping arrangements?" "No, but you reminded me I need to tell him!" I face palm myself and try to cover up my face.

"Shane, Jas, here are your sleeping arrangements. Since there is only Poke's bed and the blow-up mattress we're going to have two people sleep in one bed." I finally calm down to where my face feels a little warm and look back at Marnie, Jas, and Shane. "So Jas, you'll get to have a bed to yourself while Uncle Shane gets to share one with Poke!" Jas' innocence is great, but Shane and I are both red in the face. Marnie drops off the plastic bags, "I need to go, but you two have a fun time. Bye Jas, sweetheart! Bye Shane~! Bye Poke~ Thank you for having them~!" And with that Marnie leaves all three of us.

Shane and I look at each other with red faces. I speak up first, "S-So um..." I turn to the clock that says it's 8:00 P.M. "D-Do you know when Jas' is supposed to get ready to go to bed? I want to make sure she has plenty of rest for tomorrow..." Shane looks at me and says, "9:00 she needs to get ready for bed and be in bed by 9:40. B-But uh... I guess we're sleeping in the same bed again..." I felt more heat in my cheeks and I could hear my heart pounding. "Y-Y-Yeah..." Shane walks up to me with concern in his eyes, "I heard someone saw blood, or something like it, drip off your arm earlier... Are you ok Poke?"

I felt dread rise up in my stomach, but try my best to keep a straight face. I laugh nervously, "Y-Yeah I'm ok." I can tell by Shane's eyes he's not buying it. I give up, "I-I'd rather not talk about it while Jas is up... Anyways..." I turn toward the plastic bags, "You two can get into your pajamas. The bathroom is just down the hall, the room on the left is it." Shane nods and grabs the plastic bags and leaves with Jas.

Shane's POV:

Marnie, of course you make us go to the farm for the night AND make me sleep with Poke in the same bed. At least she brought Jas, which is both a good and bad thing. The last time I was lucky enough to have Poke where she wouldn't be able to see my problem. But this is her house... Her belongings... Nothing will help me hide it in the morning without asking her.

Jas changes first while I wait outside. Once Jas is done, she hugs me and goes back to the living room. I go into the bathroom and see what Marnie brings me for pajamas since shechose what Jas and I were going to wear while we were out... She only gave me my flannel pants... God damn it Marnie! I can hear footsteps come towards the bathroom and a knock on the door, "Shane are you ok?" I could hear Poke on the other side of the door. "Y-Yeah... I'm fine." I try to find a way to get past this problem. "You don't sound like it... Shane what's the matter?" I can't help but want to tell her the truth, but I resist. "It's..." I sigh before continuing. "Marnie packed these while both Jas and I were out, and Marnie didn't pack me a shirt for pajamas..." There's a moment of silence before Poke speaks in stutters. "W-Well um... I think you'll be fine, but if you're r-really uncomfortable of not wearing a shirt, just wear the one you're wearing right now. It'll be fine."

Poke sure does help me with giving me my common sense back. And also losing it too.
