The next day, the group walked to school as per usual. Wednesday at school was sport day, which meant that the year 10's and 9's had to wear their sport uniform all day, and after lunch went to whichever sport they had chosen at the start of the term. Danny, Sam and Tucker had chosen - again to Tucker's protest - self defence. However, the training exercises were child's play compared to what the gang had been through.

Danny was her beat up self, after having battled Technus the previous night and managing the paparazzi beforehand. Each morning after Danny Phantom had been caught on camera, Danny's English class begged, or forced, Mr. Lancer to play the morning news report - despite the majority of the kids having already seen it at home. The trio walked into the classroom just as the second bell rang and slumped in their seats. Danny took a big swig at her iced coffee and picked the remaining sleep dust form her eyes while the class shouted excitedly over one another. The boys were throwing paper balls at each other, but when one hit Danny, letting out a cry of annoyance, she unwrapped it and found a small rock inside. She turned around tensely and glared at them.

"Do you know how much damage that could do to someone's head if the paper flew off mid-flight?" She mainly directed it at Dash, the school's rugby team captain. His blonde hair was spiked up and he wore his state sports jumper over his regular school one

"Oh, boo-hoo, Fenturd," he mocked. "What? Scared of a little blood?" The boys chuckled amongst themselves. The pathetic sight made Danny's face scrunch up, which only made them point and taunt even more. For some reason her 'angry-face' was always the laugh of the show.

Tucker stood up and slammed her hands on the table. "She's a girl, Baxter. She's seen waay more blood than you probably ever will." She faked a smile and sat back down, grinning at Danny. Her eyes looked distant and her face was now moulded in confusion. However, Tucker's awkward remark made the boys settle down.

Uh, guys? Danny thought to her friends.

What is it? Tucker replied.

Uh, well, you see, uh...I can't believe I haven't thought about this until now. I mean I guess it's always been laying in my subconscious somewhere but it's only now that I truly realise that-

What is it, Danny? Sam interrupted her ramblings.

I haven't had my period since I got my powers...

What!? The two yelled through their minds, their eyes wide in disbelief. But before they could interrogate the halfa, Mr. Lancer walked in, unusually late. He slammed his papers and folders on the teacher's desk and gave out a big sigh.

"Sorry class. I got caught up in the staffroom finalising some of the questions for your half-yearlies." The class let out an exaggerated groan. "Oh, shut it, kids. And we will not be watching the news footage-" everyone, aside from the trio, began to protest, "of Danny Phantom from last night. We need to get stuck into our work." But the class only complained and wailed and shouted - and threw rocks covered in paper - at the teacher. He ducked a ball, then gave Danny a defeated look. She simply shrugged and took another gulp of her caffeinated beverage. Lancer slumped his shoulders and brought up the YouTube clip from 'Today's' segment on the ghost hero on the Smartboard. The class quietened down immediately and stared with wide, curious eyes at the screen. The 'Today' crew appeared on the couch with big smiles as the male host began to describe the events of the past night.

"The ghost-hero who we all know and love was at it again last night, saving multiple broadcasting networks, such as our own Channel 9, from a technologically enhanced ghost villain by the name of Technus, and we have the footage here now." The screen cut to a shaky camera focused on Danny Phantom, her snow-white hair in a tangled mess, and Technus, his grey cape floating in the breeze.
