Every time you pass by,
A million stars fall across my sky,
Spelling out that my mistake wasn't loving you,
It was thinking that you'd love me too.
People tell me life doesn't stop when it rains,
But how can I smile bright when I feel nothing but pain?
An ache, a heartbreak,
A fallen self, just for your sake.
I wish someone was afraid of losing me,
I wish I could be,
The beats of someone's heart,
A poet's poem, even if it were a tiny part.
