A threatening darkness glaring at the corner of your mind,
Ripping your soul apart; is there no happiness to find?
The deep, soulful secrets of your sea,
Send pulses of curiosity burning inside me.
The secrets of the world, the secrets that you hide,
In your mind? In your heart?Where do they reside?
The fingers which clasp during the time you pray,
What is it that to God you say?
The smiles you feign behind those eyes that cry,
What are you veiling? Why that tired sigh?
I see your poetry, I see your frozen heart,
I see your veiled tears; the pain that rips you apart.
Poetry so resilient, so painful so deep,
Like fantasies which project in my sleep.
Show me, show me what you see,
Behind the dark clouds; the magic between you and me.
