68. And when you left

And when you left,
I lost a part of me,
I lost my mind for a while,
I didn't know what to do.
Waves of deceit engulfed my castles of trust,
I watched them wash away; I watched them turn into dust.
And when you left,
I couldn't find myself,
I was lost in a dungeon,
The chambers of my heart screamed in pain,
I would never, ever see you again.
And when you left,
I whispered, "Why?"
There are still words left,
There is still a little of us left;
I held your hand,
But you pushed me away; and broke me in a way,
That I could no longer stand.
And when you left,
The winds stopped blowing,
My tears were tired of flowing.
And when you left,
I stood at the door,
Broken,
Because when you left,
You took it all away from me,
Every piece of me.
And all I could do was watch
You take the only thing I owned;
My heart.
