Chapter 25:
Dani's pov:
The door opens to reveal......
Demetri.
He smiles a cute boyish grin as he leans a hand out towards my, which I take in my own.
He leads me over to a big pond. Near land lays a blanket with a picnic basket. As claps his hands and suddenly as if I'm in a fairy tale, lights appear all around me. Reflecting in the waters surface.
I look over to a nervous looking Demetri,"I understand if you don't like it. If you want we can head to a diff--" I cover his mouth with a quick peck.
"Shh, I love it," I smile.
'I can't believe he did this for us! It's like a movie!' My wolf howls.
He leads us vee to the blanket. I grab for the picnic basket but he slaps my hand away.
"OW," my hand retreats back, a pout in my face,"what the hell was that for?!"
"I'm sorry, but I'm serving you tonight, ok? I mean if that's alright with you," he gives me a challenging look.
I would dare challenge back but, he already seems so giddish so I allow him to proceed onward.(heh I sound like an old person.)
He opens the basket and pulls out 2 sandwiches, some red wine, and a fruit salad.
He hands me my food as we eat in a comfortable silence, enjoying the view.
As we finish Demetri grabs my hand and leads me to a little bridge over the pond.
"UGH, why do we have to get up. I just ate, isn't there some type of rule about walking after eating or something..?" I complain.
He rolls his beautiful eyes,"No, I think you're thinking of swimming dear." He pats my head.
We walk over to the bridge and lean over the edge.
"Look! Look! Look! Fishes!! Demetri look!" I shout happily as Demetri lets out a hearty laugh.
"Didnt know fishes got you so riled up. Now hush before you scare them away," he hands me a piece of bread.
"But I just ate-"
"It's not for you love, it's for the fishes," he rolls his eyes.
'Love? Love.. I like it..'
I throw bits of bread in the ponds as the fish all attack.
I smile to myself,"they're coming in like vultures." Demetri states smiling.
I shake my head," No. They came in like a wrecking ball!!!" I scream/sing, as Demetri covers his ears.
I let out a loud laugh and wipe away a stray tear.
I look at Demetri to see him already looking back.
"What do I have something in my face," I wipe my face, but demetri's hands grasp mine.
"You're something ya know that?" He lets out a chuckle, a nervous chuckle.
I squint my eyes,"what's up?" I ask giving him 'my look.' (My squinty chink eyes; no one take offense to that comment. I am also Asian soo ya, no racial intentions.)
"Hu-what?" He lets out a nervous laugh as he scratches his head,"Im-"
"Tell me," I inturtupt a hand on my hip.
His face suddenly becoming serious making me really anxious.
"Ok," he lets out a heavy sigh.
"I've been meaning to say this for awhile-"
"If you're thinking about breaking up, forget it. You're stuck with me buster!" I tell him.
"Will you let me finish!!" He yells, runnin a hand through his hair.
"As I was saying, I've been meaning to say this for awhile. Dani i knew you were perfect from the moment I laid eyes on you. You drove me crazy. You're insane, not so bright, have a big, scratch that, HUGE appetite-"
"Woah, ok ok ok I get it! I have a lot of not so amazing characteristics!" I shout pouting.
He smiles,"but, you're amazing. I'm glad I met you. I was so surprised wen I first met you. I know we've been through a lot, and I want to continue for you to be in my side forever-"
I'm not sure where this is going..
He gets down in one knee.
'Oh my god..' I clasp a hand over my mouth.
"Dani, my amazing beautiful mate, will you marry me?"
I punch him in the arm,'You could you do this?!" His face drops.
He looks up at me I shock," Wha- Wha-" he stutters.
"I understand if you're not ready but geez-" I punch him again.
"Of course I will! I mean I am your mate!" I shout.
His face brightens again,"Really?!"
"Yes," I stand in my tip toes and kiss him. It started out slow but suddenly became very passionate and heated. He pulls away to clap.
Suddenly fireworks go off.
"Oh my god!" I smile up at him.
I lean into him as his arms wrap around my waist.
I look up and his his jaw," I love Demetri." He looks down at me in shock.
'Oh my god. I just- I just said that. IDIOT ah-'
"I love you too," he inturtupts my thoughts.
I reach up to his face and kiss him. I turn around for easier access and jump on him.
He wraps his arms around my body as he leads me to the blanket.
I smile as I the fireworks continue to go off.
