Chapter 2:
As I sit in the back of my brothers car there is nothing but silence.
"Listen Dani, when I pick up all my friends no speaking or anything at all! You will stay quiet and talk to no one! Got it," my brother says while looking in the rear-view mirror. I nod slowly knowing he is a popular guy and doesn't want his 'rep' ruined by his litlle antisociable sister.
I pop in my buds and listen to, 'All I Want ' by A Day To Remember, as he slows to a halt to pick up one of his douche bag friends, Kyle.
"Hey man," my brother says doing the bro hand shale whatever thingy. I turn up my volume blasting them out.
We pick up a couple more of my brother's friends and head to my school Riversteam High. As we pull into the parking lot I put my music away.
My brother stops or me to get out as he doesnt wanna be seen with me in front of everyone, I hop out.
Before I shut the door I hear, "Dude why's your sister so weird?"
I hear laughter and my brothers replie," I don't know, I wish she wasn't. She's so weird and such a looser. It's a shame to call her my-"
I run off before I hear the rest.
My wolf growls fiercely, ' You're not gonna cry! ' over and over in my head.
I nod my head before heading to the front of the school.
I run to my locker meeting my friend Stacee there.
"Hey," she smiles warmly at me. Comparedto me, me and Stacee's looks are completely opposite. With her natural blonde hair, mines is a dull raven black. Her eyes are chocolate brown, and my eyes are a bright shade of green. Shes got a great body and complextion.
My body is always covered up by my baggy clothes.
Everyone at leases notices her. She's an average American girl and isn't popular but also isn't a nerd. She fits into the average range.
"Guess who," says Charlie, Casees mate comes up behind her and covers her eyes.
She smiles her beautiful smile and turn around to kiss Charlie.
I turn away envious she found her mate already and I was still stuck alone and well mate-less. I dig through my locker fr everything I would need for class and walk away from the two love-birds by my locker and head to class.
As I walk through the hallways I keep my head low and in the shadows. I like it better this way. Which means drama free. Keeping my head on my feet, I suddenly bump into something hard, right away I feel electric zaps shoot through my arms where we made contact with this stranger.
My wolf howls, as I slowly look up and meet piercing blue eyes.
'Mate,' my wolf says. I dont realise it but I also said it out loud.
His eyes turn from shocked, to disgust and disappointment.
He pulls me by my arm causing electricity to run up and down my spine.
"You may be my mate to my wolf, but to me you never will be," he whispers fiercely in my ear.
He backs away and I look at him. I tell myself I'm not going to cry but suddently I feel my vision going blurry.
Before he sees me cry I run off to the nearest girls bathroom and into the first stall.
The girls in there doing their make-up whisper loudly but I can hear them with my wolf ears.
"Wow, sucks to be her," one says.
"Wonder what the bitch did to deserve whatever came her way," another says. They all laugh and walk out.
I sob quietly in my sweatshirt, soaking it with salty tears.
My wolf howls with sadness and lonsome.
What did I do to deserve this, I think to myself.
Maybe I'll just end up alone forever?
After crying my eyesballs out, and making sure no one was in the bathroom I exit the stall. I go to the sinks and wash my face. I ever so slowly look up into the mirror to meet a girl with red puffy eyes and a very wet shirt.
I exit the bathroom into the deserted hallways. Still smelling humans around. (not all my school is made up of wolfs, but a lot of It is.) deciding to skip for the rest of the day of school, which is something very unlikey of me to do, definatley on the first day, I run out the front of the school.
I pull out my phone,'you don't need to wait for me today, casee and I are going to her house after school,' I text my brother. Hitting send I shut my phone and start walking home.
