Walking into the Church Ruby groans, "This place feels uncomfortable" she muttered as they stopped once they got near the alter.
They waited as the bishop comes out and even from where she's standing, she can tell that he's just a despicable man drunk on power.
"I am the Bishop of Gresit." "You're not from around here." Trevor stated.
"No, I'm originally from Targoviste. I was an aide to the archbishop. How did you divine that?" he asked.
"Well, you're not running away screaming like the rest of the locals, for one thing."
The bishop raised a eyebrow and said, "From you?"
"From the baby-eating freaks of nature who apparently raid Gresit every night."
The bishop turns away from them "I'm here to save Gresit."
Trevor chuckles "And how do you intend to do that?"
The Bishop glares at him "I brought you here to answer some questions, not ask them."
The hunter smirks "Well, tough shit. How exactly do you intend to help these people by killing Speakers?"
"The Speakers brought these troubles upon themselves. One cannot live without god..quite literal, in these days"
Ruby rolls her eyes "If he keeps this up I will throw up." she whispered to Trevor "Same" the hunter replied back.
"You think the night hordes come because people weren't religious enough? and you were in Targovistie?"
"The Archbishop had certain..interests that I believe compromised his ability to protect the city and the country. I was sent away long before Dracula came to Targovistie."
"We disagreed on matters of clerical discipline."
"But you were there for the burning of Dracula's wife. We heard all about it." Ruby said glaring at him.
"Oh, yes. I arrange it, in fact."
Their eyes widen in shock both that he arranged it and that he said so casually.
"The woman was a witch. And there can be no doubt now that she consorted with the devil. She even married him."
Ruby let's out a amused chuckle and crossed her arms. "Heh, good for her. At least she had a opened mind on the world, And now because of your shitty move we have a all powerful vampire on our asses!" Her smirk gone and replaced with a deadly scowl.
"And we're here to be disciplined?" Trevor asked.
"Not as such. I have a gift for you both." "Your lives, Belmont," he said stretching his hand to them.
"Take it and go." he said putting his arm back to his side. "Tonight, the Speakers will be dealt with, and then Gresit will be secure. I refuse, however to toil so hard for the soul of this city with an excommunicated heretic within it's walls. Along with his unpure maiden."
Ruby gasped in shock knowing that he just called her a harlot "Unpure! I'm a virgin, you son of bitch!" she yelled angrily.
"And this dude is my friend!" she added pointing her thumb.
She grits her teeth, how dare this old man call her that! She has had to put up with this since she came here but she'll be damned if she let's some old insane bishop who think committing manslaughter for some religion is OK, call her that!
Trevor smirks "Ah so that's why you said no to my charm. You're inex-" Ruby gives him a pointed glare that promised death and said in a very calm voice, "I will kill you right here right now, with your own sword through your heart if you finished that."
