Nightmares

After hours of walking, Team Hunter finally stopped for the night inside of a cave.

"Is she alright?" Sypha asked as she makes a fire.

"Yes." Alucard answered as he lays the Huntress's head on his lap.

The whole time everyone stayed silent and looked at the fire until everyone but Alucard fell asleep.

Meanwhile in Ruby's dream...
Ruby looks around as she walks through the darkness, it was like there was no beginning or end to this dark abyss.

Suddenly she saw a light and was hesitant at first, but she decided to be brave and walks towards the light.

And once she reached the other end, she was met with a mirror one of them was a mirror in a golden frame.

Walking towards the mirror, she looks at her reflection and smiled but then her reflection turned into a version of Salem.

Ruby gasped and walks back in shock "What the hell?"

The reflections chuckles "Don't be afraid. I am you after all." The reflection said as it steps out of the mirror.

But once she did, her form was covered in shadows that only grew bigger and bigger till she was as a mountain.

And once it the shadows disappeared, the only thing that was left was the reflection in Salem's clothing.

The reflection looks at the Huntress and lets out a blood curdling scream that reminded the huntress of Emerald's illusion back at Haven Academy.

But instead of rushing towards her, multiple human like-grim hands come out of the mirror and grab Ruby.

The Huntress exclaimed in shock as she tried to break free, but their hold was too strong and the only thing the Huntress could do was watched in horror as the hands dragged her towards the mirror.

"NONONO!" She exclaimed as she desperately clawed her hands on the ground, but it was all in vain as she's pulled through the mirror.

The Huntress gasped as her lungs started to fill with water and she tried to swim towards the mirror but to no prevail the grim like hands pulled her deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Ruby groans as she stops struggling and looked helplessly at the mirror as she drew her last breath.

Dream ends...
"GAH!" Ruby sits straight up and took very deep breaths as she tried to calm down her fast beating heart.

She was so shocked that she didn't realized that her head had hit Alucard in the jaw and knocked the dhampir onto his back and made him bite his tongue on accident.

Alucard groan as he sits up and spits out the blood on the ground.

"What the hell?" he questioned as his tongue already started to heal.

Unfortunately, Ruby's scream also woke up Trevor and Sypha "Ruby? Are you ok?" Trevor asked.

The glances at them and nods her head "I-I'm f-fine." She stuttered.

"You don't look fine, you're shaking" Alucard stated.

She gives them a smile "I'm fine. Just a nightmare."

"Do you want to talk about it?" Sypha asked.

The Huntress shook her head "No." she replied.

She looks down at the dimming fire.
