Suspicion and Faith

Peaceful, that is the only word to describe how Ruby is feeling now as she lays asleep in her bed dreaming about who knows what, not even the morning sun shining down through her window could wake her up.

And through her dazed state she thought she felt the bed dip a little bit as a male a voice called her name which was soon followed by them planting his face on her neck and started to lightly kiss it with his lips.

"You are so beautiful." He muttered huskily making his hot breath tickle her neck even more.

The Huntress giggles at that feeling and praise, she just loves how affectionate Alucard is. She does not know what she did to deserve someone like him.

"Alucard stop. It's too early." she giggled as she started to wake up but as she did, she felt a sudden jerking movement like Alucard quickly pulled away from her and then began shaking her violently.

"Ruby!"

Turning her head, the huntress saw that the person that was waking her up was not Alucard, but it was in fact Taka.

And because of this the Huntress did the only rational thing anyone would do in this kind of situation.

She socked him right in the face and quickly got up by standing on the bed while holding her neck where the hunter had kissed.

"What the hell! Where you just kissing my neck!" she exclaimed feeling outraged and extremely violated.

Taka groans as he sits up and rubs his face, "I did no such thing, I was only shaking you awake, you must've been dreaming." He stated.

Ruby glared down at the hunter not believing him. "Why are you even here?" she questioned.

"Alucard sent me to get you for before he finished breakfast." He answered.

Looking the hunter over, Ruby saw that he was giving her a sincere look, but she still could not shake the feeling that what just happened was not in her imagination. But she also could not prove it either.

Maybe it's just her being paranoid again. For some reason ever since they arrived 5 week ago the huntress still had a nagging feeling about them.

Even after they told her and Alucard about their lives under Cho's command while she does feel sympathy for them, there was still something about them that makes it hard for her to feel comfortable around them.

Especially when it comes to Taka since the male vampire hunter always wanted to spend time with her and would even get into her personal space a lot.

"My apologies then. Just don't be that close to me If you ever wake me up again." She stated.

"Noted." The Hunter said as he gets off the floor and walks out of the room.

Sighing to herself, the huntress gets off the bed and does her morning routine.

Which is get up, take a bath, get dressed, and go down to eat breakfast.

"You should start locking the door and or better yet start sleeping with Alucard." Salem stated just as Ruby entered the bathroom.

The Huntress gasped at hearing the witch speak for the first time in months, but she quickly composed herself as she walks fully in the bathroom, closes the door, and locks it.

"Why are talking to me, it's been 4 months since you opened that mouth of yours." She demanded.

There was silence for a moment before the witch spoke up. "I was mourning."
