An Old Enemy Appears

Ruby yawns "Well, I'm bored." She muttered to herself as she walked through the woods with Team STAR.

"If you're bored why don't you tell us more about those demons? Creatures of Grim was it? Where do they come from?" Sypha asked.

"We really don't know. All we do know that the Creatures of Grim have been on earth way before humans and only want to destroy mankind. So, they might have been around when dinosaurs used to roam the earth." She answered.

Everyone looks at her in confusion "What the fuck is a dinosaur?" Trevor asked.

"Dinosaurs are giant reptiles that came around millions of years ago. They were actually the first lifeforms to roam the planet. But they went extinct millions of years ago when an asteroid hit the earth."

"That sounds so sad." Sypha proclaimed.

Ruby scoffs "Trust me, it's a good thing that they died out. Humans and dinosaurs are not meant to live at the same time. Jurassic Park is a good example." She proclaimed.

"What is a Jurassic Park?" Alucard asked.

"It's a movie...which is basically like a play. But even though it's make believe, the creators made a good job of what would happen if dinosaurs were suddenly brought back to life. It's not pretty. Especially with a Velociraptor."

"Raptor? As in a bird of prey?" Alucard inquired.

"Well, there have been theories that birds are actually descendants of dinosaurs. Just less dangerous." Ruby replied.

Trevor chuckles "They sound like an overgrown chicken."

Ruby smirks and walks over to the hunter. "The thing about the Velociraptor is that they don't hunt alone. They're basically like a pack of wolves. The only difference is that they're a giant reptile that run at speeds of 40 to 50 miles per hour and are highly intelligent."

"They come at you from all sides luring you into a trap and once you fall into that trap. One of them then pounces on you and then proceeds to use a 2.6-inch claw that hooks into your flesh. That usually slices you here."

She moves her finger across the right side of Trevor's stomach at a 40⁰ angle "And here." she goes to the left side and does the same motion.

"And thing about is, you're still alive when they're eating you." She added smiling.

Trevor looks at her in shock as he tried to comprehend what she just said.

"Fascinating how do you know all this?" Sypha asked.

"Their fossils." Ruby replied.

"Their bones?" Alucard said intrigued.

The Huntress nods her head "Yep."

"Hmph, I'm guessing with your modern technology helped?" Trevor guessed.

"Yep." Ruby giggled and looks up at the beautiful sky as the sun starts to set.

"Hey look a town!" Sypha proclaimed.

Everyone turns their heads to look ahead and low and behold there was a town.

After making it to the village they asked around and were able to find an inn to stay the night.

Ruby sighs as she lays downs on her bed "A bed." She muttered happily.

"Are you sure you're not rich? Because you act like one" Trevor stated.

"No. My income is pretty average...true, I get special treatment since my best friend comes from a rich family." She answered.
