Chapter 6{Busy Day}

******Lauren's POV******

I closed the door and then put my back against it, sliding down until I hit the floor. I sighed happily, the date was amazing. I still can't believe I kissed her...on the first date! That's absolutely insane. I was laying against the door when I felt someone trying to push it open. I assumed it was either ally or Camz, so I opened the door. I saw Ally walking in, and she had a sad look on her face. She walked over to the couch and sat down, running hr fingers threw her hair.

"Ally, what happened couz" I said, sitting with her. Camila walked into the room and looked at Ally with a concerned look on for face. "baby, what's wrong". She came over and got on her knees in front of ally. Ally started to cry into her hands. Camz got up and pulled her into a hug. "I got f-fired guys. If I don't find a job soon I won't be able to pay for college, and we'll be out on the street".

"Don't worry about it Ally. I'll work extra shifts till you find a job" I said. "Yeah babe, we'll do anything we can". Ally used her arm to grab me and pull me into the hug. "We'll make it through this Allycat, okay?" She nodded and Camila placed a kiss to her lips. I smiled sadly at them and then I heard my phone ring in my pocket.

I walked to my room to answer it, "Hello?" "Hey baby, what's up, wanna have another date tomorrow night" said the voice, who I quickly recognized was Dinah. "I'm sorry DJ, I gotta start working extra shifts morning and night". I heard her sigh and I felt bad, but I couldn't tell her I was having financial problems, or she would think I was using her. I really like Dinah and I don't want to lose her.

"I'm sorry DJ, but maybe we can hangout during my lunch break"? I heard a smile in her voice, "Thank god, I thought we were done". I laughed at her, "Nope, you're stuck with me". "That may not be an issue" she said, making me blush and laugh. "Lolo, do you think you can spend the night at my place some time. I would love you to meet my friends Normani and Arin". "Your manager and bodyguard?" I asked questionably. "More like my best friends who work with me". "I'll see when I can, but I surely wanna have lunch with you tomorrow. Until then my love'. I heard her laugh and I smiled, "Goodnight my gorgeous green-eyed goddess".

I hung and jumped onto my bed, sighing happily. I looked towards the ceiling,"God, i think I'm in love". I heard a laugh from the door, and looked up to see it was Camila. "Hey Lolo, how was your date" she asked as she sat down with me. "It was amazing, she took me to the music festival and we watched the lanterns from the lake, and she bought me this" I said, showing her my necklace. "Wow, that sounds great". I nodded in agreement, "I just wish I took pictures".

Camz turned on the tv and looked at it with a blank face. "What's wrong Camzi"? "I think you'll get those pictures" she said, and I was confused. I looked towards the screen and listen to Access Hollywood or one show like that. "We spotted Dinah Jane earlier this evening with a girl that no one has ever heard of. Sadly, we couldn't get a good enough shot of her, who's the mystery lady and where can we find her?" I stared blackly at the screen. Oh no!

******Dinah's POV******
I was singing around the house happily. "DINAH, GET IN HER!!!!" yelled Normani. I ran fast, because it sounded urgent. I ran into the room breathlessly, "Wh-what h-happened". She patted the spot next to her on the bed, and I sat down. I saw pictures from my date with Lauren on the tv screen, but none of the pictures clearly showed Lauren's face.

"Mani.....What am I gonna do?" I said, hugging my best friend. "What do you mean sweetie". Tears began to pour from my eyes, "What I-if they start to attack her? They'll ruin her life, and make her not want to be with me". She shushed me and told me everything would be okay, but i wasn't sure she was trying to convince me. I think she was trying to convince herself. I just hope our lunch date goes well tomorrow.

----------1:30 Tomorrow, Dinah's POV-----------

I was wearing my superman sweatshirt, black diamond SnapBack, black skinny jeans, and my black and blue wedged sneakers while walking the rest of the way to Lauren's job. I parked a block down in an alley so no one would find my car. I walked into the restaurant and saw Lauren running around like a chicken without her head.

"Just give us a minute sir, we're low on staff today" she said, running back into the kitchen. When she came out she had a tray of food on each hand, and another balanced on her head. She served 9 out of the 50 people there.... she needed help. On her way back to take someone's order she ran into me and we fell backwards, her on top of me. "Hey babe, I'm really busy. I don't think I can take a lunch break today. I'm sorry" she said sadly. "It's okay, I'll just stay and help you out".

I pulled her up off the floor and she brushed herself off. "That's sweet baby, but you don't need to do that". I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist, "That independent thing you got going is so sexy, but let me help you". I pecked her lips and then went to kitchen. Let's just say we worked the day away, while laughing and having a good time.

We were leaving when we her job and walking to my car, hand in hand. "I really must say that was the most fun I've ever had at work" she said, and I laughed. "Everything's better with you". She cutely blushed and looked down, "You're so good to me, and we aren't even dating yet". "We should be, but all good things take time". She nudged my shoulder with her head, "Thanks for being so patient for me". "I'd wait forever for you".

We got to my car and I saw two guys with bats and hoodies by it. I stopped Lauren before we turned the corner, "Stay right here okay? I'll be right back". She grabbed me, "Don't do it DJ, just leave the car". I pulled her in for a passionate kiss, not sure if it would be my last. "I love you Dinah". "And I love you, Lauren ". I walked around the corner and confronted the two men.
