*****Lauren's POV*****

I sat down in my seat and let one single tear slide down my face. I refused to break down when I needed to be strong for Dinah. I looked at my window and to the airport, where I was looking around to see if Dinah left yet. I felt the engines of the plane start revving, and I started to look more frantically. then I received a text from her that said, "Look towards the boarding area window".

I looked quickly and smiled as I saw Dinah with her hands in the shape of a heart against the window. I did the same back, and blew her a kiss. Before she could do anything in return, we started pulling away. I slumped back into my seat and sighed, "I'm gonna miss her so much". Then I felt my phone vibrate again, and it was Dinah. "I love you so much". "I love you more, now stop texting me and watch the road". "Lol! yes ma'am. I'll text you when I'm at home. bye, xoxo". "bye" I sent back. Man, I miss her already.

I decided I had to distract myself from leaving Dinah behind, so I decided to doing some research on Houston so I had sort of an idea where I was going. I pulled out my laptop and started scoping the city, marking places on a map where I thought Normani would possibly go. I did that for about an hour, but then I figured I'd done enough to at least get my way around. The next half hour was spent debating whether or not to text Normani and tell her I was coming, which I decided against. If I told her, she would have time to run from me. And I have to find her, for Arin and Dinah.

I pulled out my phone and decided to text Arin instead, to see if he was doing okay. "How you doin' kid?" "I'm barely surviving right now, my heart is aching. How far are you from houston?" he typed back. "About an hour and a half kid. Hang in there, I'm gonna find her". Then I sent "Are you staying with Dinah?" "Yes ma'am, I'll take good care of her while your gone" he sent, with a little winky face. I laughed and then sent back, "Watch it pal, don't get too friendly?" "I'll just look after her, she just got home...and she's crying. Call her" he sent. I immediately clicked Dinah's contact.

"Hey Lauren, you couldn't have landed already" she said, and I could tell she had been crying. Her voice sounded a bit hoarse and she sniffled every once in a while. "Baby, Arin told me you were crying. What's wrong baby girl?" I said, and then she started to break down over the phone. "I'm scared Lo" she whimpered. "Why are you scared baby?" "I can't know if you're safe or not. I'm scared that something could happen to you and I'm too far to get there in time".

I felt my heart hurt a little, she cared so much about me. "Dinah, calm down baby" I said. Her breathing had become uneven and I knew she could pass out if she didn't relax. "Shh, DJ. I need you to relax, baby girl. Deep breaths" I said calmly, I heard ger start taking some deep breaths. I let her do that till her breathing was balanced, "Better?" "Yeah..." she said. "I know we haven't been this far apart before, this is just a test. It's not forever, I promise. Hey, I want you to help me with something" I said. "I'd help you with anything". "Help me finish these lines".

"We may be separated by the distance" I said. Then she continued with "But never apart". "Only in miles". "But never in heart" she said. I chuckled a little bit, "Thanks baby. I want to remember that while I'm away. I love you no matter what stands in our way. Okay babe?" "Distance is just a test of how far our love can go" she said with a little giggle.

Dinah and I talked for a while, and then we were interrupted by someone tapping my shoulder. "Ma'am" I heard a voice say, and I turned and saw a flight attendant. "Yes?" "We need all seatbelts fastened and phones off, we're about to land" she said with a smile. "No problem" I said, and then she walked away. "Dinah, I gotta go. We're landing now". She sighed, "Text me when you get to your hotel". "I will, I love you". "And I love you too, bye lolo". "Bye". I hated saying goodbye, that was always the hardest part for me.

*****Normani's POV*****

I was sitting in my old dance freind Claire in her kitchen kitchen, deciding to stay there instead of at my parent's place. "Arin just told you to leave" she said. "Yeah Claire, he even pulled out my suitcases for me" I sighed, and then let a tear slip down my face. She put her arm on my shoulder, "I'm sorry Mani". She then smirked at me and then started to walk over to her cabnet, "I think I got something for you to take your mind off of him". She came back with two glasses and some bottle that had no name on it.  "Try some of this, it's awesome" she said as she passed me a cup. I looked at the clear liquid in my cup, "What is this?"

She just chugged her cup and smiled at me, "I got it from the Bahamas. They call it Nassau Royale, and it's absolutely fantastic". I gave her an unsure look and she rolled her eyes at me, "Just try it". I took a small sip, tasting an exotic and tangy taste with a hint of vanilla. I felt my feelings get numb as I let the liquid slide down my throat, enjoying the slight burning sensation. I finished the rest of my drink, and then had claire pour me more.

We finished the entire bottle within thirty mintues, and somehow ended up widly dancing around her living room with music playing on her phone. We were trying to see if we could still do some of our choreo from the good ole days, but we kept stumbling over each other. I laughed with her all night, and really enjoyed myself. I know I haven't had more than a glass of wine at one time, but I really enjoyed this feeling.

It made all the pain just magically fade away.
