A laugh escaped Calum's full lips, causing Ashton's to turn up in a wide grin. He sipped his coffee (thankfully he didn't make this one) and watched the Kiwi boy unravel in a fit of giggles. It was quite adorable, really.

"So - So you t-tripped over the dog running after her?!" Calum panted.

Ashton's face heated up, and he nodded, only making Calum laugh more.

Once Calum regained his composure, Ashton looked at the boy.

Raven hair, full pink lips, eyes that could melt you in a heartbeat, a laugh as loud as an oncoming train.

He couldn't help but find his best friend attractive.

He would never like you that way, a chilling voice whispered, the sharp edges of his voice cutting into Ashton's heart.

The sad part is, Ashton knows its true.
