"Make sure you write to me, okay? Don't ignore me like you did because I will literally walk to your house and beat the living shit out of you." Calum said, his dark almond eyes filling with tears. His grip on my waist tightened as if he never wanted to let me go; not that I had a problem with that. My arms were wrapped loosly around his neck, my hands playing with small strands at the base of his neck.

"Everyday. I will write a letter to you daily." I said, tears slipping freely down my cheeks.

The annoying lady over the intercom spoke again. "Flight 372 to New Zealand boarding. Last call for New Zealand."

"Calum, c'mon we'll miss our plane!" Joy nagged from a few feet away.

"Shut up, Mum!" Calum shouted over the sea of people.

"Calum- I- I'm sorry for ignoring you. I only did that because I thought I would screw everything up for us and I never wanted that. I'm such an idiot, I'm sorry but you're just stuck with me because I know you love me as much as I love you. I love you, Calum."

"You're such a dork." He said, his forehead resting against mine. It's as if everyone disappeared in that moment. We were the only ones on the planet. Time slowed and I was content. More than content. I was in Calum's arms with no argument washing over us, no stress of him leaving- it was our little bubble. Our safety bubble and I just wanted to stay there forever.

But, as The Rolling Stones once said, you can't always get what you want.

"If you want to say goodbye to Calum, you'd better wake up! His flight leaves at 2!" My mother shouted, causing me to jump out of bed. My eyes scanned for the alarm clock where I read the time: 1:32 p.m.

Oh shit.

{Calum's POV}

The high pitched tone of the woman on an intercom came on. "Flight 372 to New Zealand now boarding."

I rolled my eyes and thanked the barista who handed me my coffee. In return I gave him a five dollar bill.

I took a seat at one of the small tables, not caring when the plane was boarding, not caring that Ashton isn't here- nope not one care in the world.

I turned my attention from the table to the sign over the counter. Starbucks.

I heard a giggle and glanced at a couple holding hands behind me. I fought the urge to puke when he kissed her nose.

Starbucks is such a cliché place to fall in love.

You fell in love here, remember? My subconcious obviously has nothing to shut it up.

In an effort to keep my lunch down, I left Starbucks and found my mother in one of the chairs with our luggage. She threw her hands in the air in a tiff. "Calum! We have to board! It's 2:43!"

I huffed a response. "Yeah I know."

"Awe, baby," She stopped fiddling with the tag on a suitcase and put her hand on my cheek, "I'm sorry he wasn't here."

"So am I. Can we leave this God forsaken place now?"

She gave me a sympathetic look and nodded, tapping my cheek. "Sorry, baby."

I nodded and grabbed the handle to my black suitcase and picked up my dufflebag. My mom grabbed her bags and we began to walk to the door, when I heard a shout above all other voices.

"CALUM! DON'T LEAVE YET! I'M SLOW, PLEASE HEAR ME!" That jackass finally made it. I'm starting to like my subconcious.

I flipped around, dropped my luggage, ignoring my mother's protests and ran in search of him.

I saw his curly head of hair through the sea of suits and ties.

{Ashton's POV}

"Calum! I'm here!" I said, wrapping my arms around his neck.

He nodded in my neck. "Yeah you are. And you're sweaty."

"I ran here." I smiled.

"You're so cute." He said as he connected our lips, right there in the middle of the airport.

"As much as I want to stay like this," I detatched our lips, gazing into his eyes, "We should say goodbye."

"I don't want to say goodbye to you. Not to the person I love most in this ugly world."

"Please don't go all sappy on me right now. I'm trying not to cry." I said, smiling, but blinking back tears.

"I have to go all sappy on you, because I love you and you're the only person I want to be sappy with."

My eyes flicked to a clock on the wall. 2:47.

"Calum, we don't have to say goodbye. We can just say everything we want to say, kiss, and then you run the opposite direction before I kidnap you, okay?" I rambled.

He nodded, his eyes watering.

Joy tapped her foot impatiently. "Calum, I really don't want to pay for more plane tickets so if you could speed up your love fest, that would be fabulous."

He ignored her and pressed his lips to mine. I savored his kiss, fearing it would be our last.

"I love you. Don't let this be our last moment together." Calum said, turning on his heel. He picked up his bags and joined his mother at the entrance of the plane without looking back.
