I was startled awake by the sound of my alarm clock ringing at 6:00 am. I groaned and slammed my hand down repeatedly until finally I found my clock.

Uhg school.

Ive never really understood why we have to get up so early. Like why cant we go to school at ten instead of six in the morning. They are depriving us from sleep!

I don't necessarily hate school, its just I hate people in general. I guess i can't complain because im dating this great guy and I have popular friends. They kind of took me in when I started dating Blake, which suprised me because before that, I wouldn't even be caught dead with their group.

Sometimes, okay most of the time, I feel like they are just tolerating me. They don't think I notice the rude comments that are played off as jokes. The conversations that stop when I come around or sometimes the glares that get sent my way.

I try to ignore them because they treat me like a good friend to my face so maybe im just imagining the other stuff?

I sat up and stretched my sleeping muscles and then headed to my bathroom.

My feet hit the cold, wooden floor and a shiver ran up my spine as I hurried across the room so I could take a hot shower.

Looking at my reflection, my wavy, blonde hair fell just past my shoulders, I wore light makeup which consisted of mascara that brought out my bright, emerald green eyes and natural lipstick. I wore a white sweater, ripped jeans, white converse, and a charm bracelet my mom gave me.

I grabbed my bag I packed the night before and headed downstairs towards the smell of bacon.

"Good morning." My mom greeted.

"Morning. Wheres dad?"

"He left a couple minutes ago. He said something about running late and stuff."

"Oh." I was a little disappointed because I usually only see him in the mornings due to the fact that he is a businessman and works later at night, but at least I have my mom.

"Are you ready for your first day of senior year?" She asked as she slid bacon and pancakes onto my plate.

"I guess... I mean I don't like that summer is ending, but at least i'll get to see my friends everyday."

"School is more important than friends, my dear."

"Yes mom, i know." I said with a slight eyeroll.

"What about you?" I asked.

"I'm happy to meet new students, but second graders can be a handful sometimes."

"Yeah, makes me grateful you didn't have another child." I said jokingly.

My mom smiled as she sat down next to me.

"Me too. You were bad enough."

"Hey!" I nudged her side with my elbow.

The rest of breakfast was pretty peaceful as we both shoved food into our mouths. The beep of a horn had me rushing to clean up my mess.

"That must be Brooke."

"Is she still picking you up and dropping you off?"

"Yup, everyday. Blake might drop me off sometimes though."

"Okay, love you!" My mom yelled so her voice could be heard to the entryway.

"Love you too!" I said as I stepped outside and hurried over to the cherry red Porsche parked in my driveway.
