Chapter 10
The whole world is changing and turning around. What does he mean that he knows everything? Could it be he knew about the world of Guardianas and Lady Dominias? Is this a dream? I pinched myself to convince myself that everything was just a dream, but it was unsuccessful. I was tempted to text him back, but I need Kent’s advice. Kent is the one I need more than anything. A lot of things crowded my thoughts so I’ve decided to sleep through it. In about a minute or two, I found myeself swallowed in my own dreams.
Clouds were all around me. Everything was all misty. A black shadow caught my attention. It’s the same figure I saw earlier in my dream. I’m still curious of his face so I gently made my way through the clouds. I stretched my hand out to touch the hem of his shirt. He turned around. This time, I saw his face.
“So you’re the one,” I said out loud.
“I’m missing you already,” Kent said back to me as he stretched out his arms to embrace me.
“What are you doing here?” I said in his shirt.
“An ability I learned from boredom,”
“What kind of power does this do? Scare away nightmares?” I laughed.
“Possible,” he leaned away to brush the hair off my face. “Good night! Let’s talk tomorrow!”
“Yeah, let’s!” I tried to smile, hoping that he did not sense any fear in my face. He pinched my cheeks and faded away. This time, my dream led me to another scene.
Tall, gray walls are around me. Dripping water from the pipes above the ceiling. I have no idea where am I. A gigantic exhaust fan is found on the upper left part of the tower. This place is so hot and humid. It’s suffocating me. My legs took me to a door. I tried to peek through it. My heart is pounding, and my hands were sweating from my nervousness. As I took a deep breath, I pushed open the door and found a man sitting on the center of the room. The room was as tall as the tower. It has maroon wallpaper and a red carpet. Shelves with thousands of books filled the entire room. It’s just like a huge library. I feel so homey around here. The man was tied on a chair. Swaying my head left to right, I couldn’t quite seem to identify the man. I tried to go near him but no matter how I walk closer and closer to him, the more he gets farther and farther away. Is this some kind of trick?
A hand caught my shoulder which made me flinched. My body was shivering and I couldn’t stop. I was afraid and scared. Slowly, I turned around to see who caught my arm. Just when I almost saw his face, everything went blank, and I woke up.
Blinking and rubbing my eyes, I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to get ready for school. Everything seems just to be moving so fast that I already got to school and saw Bree.
“Hey babe, Quench ‘n Munch Deli later,” she caught my arm.
“Sure,”
“You look tired, what happened?” she raised her eyebrows.
“Nothing, I had a nightmare that’s all!”
Walking along the hallway, our conversation was interrupted by a huge commotion on our bulletin board. Bree went to join the crowd while I dangled behind her. Bodies crushed me and bags hitting me. Suddenly, a pair of hands caught my hips lifting me away from the crowd.
“Wew, almost lost my kitten! Morning!” Kent greeted me, but still not letting go off my hips.
“Thanks! I needed that,” I said then he dragged me away from the crowd. “Bree wants to see, that’s why!”
