I woke up with a pounding headache. I felt horrible. Events from last night entered my mind reminding me why I felt this way.
"Here you might want to take this." I looked up to see Shawn standing in front of me with a pill in the palm of his hand and a glass of water in the other.
"Thank you." I said taking the things from his hands.
I swallowed the pill and laid back down. Shawn sat at the end of the bed beside my legs. He looked at me with an expressing I can't explain. It was like a mix of anger, sadness, and concern.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" My voice was raspy when I spoke. He shook his head and got up from the bed. He walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. I sighed and rubbed my forehead. My phone buzzed beside me causing me to pick it up.
"Hello?" I said into the phone. I didn't bother to look at the caller ID.
"Hey Liz." I clenched my jaw when I heard his voice.
"What do you want Grayson?" I hissed.
"I want you. I've changed Liz, I'm better now." He said making my head throb even more.
"Don't call me Liz, and don't ever talk to me again." I said about to hang up the phone.
"I saw the photo of you and Shawn, I guess you two are together now." Grayson said nonchalantly.
"Uh yeah." I said awkwardly.
"I guess you haven't seen the magazine." Grayson said causing me to be confused.
"What magazine?" I asked.
"Shawn has a girlfriend, her name is Ellie or something like that." Grayson explained.
"What? No, he would tell me." I said more to myself than to Grayson.
"Okay whatever, but you might want to look it up." Grayson said before hanging up the phone.
I wanted to trust Shawn, but I also wanted to look this up. So I did. The first thing that popped up was a website titled, "Shawn Mendes new girlfriend." The article was recent. It was about a week before we went on the trip. I clicked on it and waited for it to load. The first thing to pop up was a photo of them.

My chest tightened as I studied the photo. I scrolled down to read the interview he was in.
Shawn Mendes sets the rumors straight about the girl in his new music video.
"So Shawn, there're are rumors that you two are together. Is this true?" An interviewer for the seventeen magazine asked.
"Yes, the rumors are true. Ellie and I are together." Shawn answered.
The couple was seen after the "there's nothing holding me back," video two weeks later at a party getting really touchy and close. Looks like Shawn Mendes has someone to write love songs about.
My mind was racing with thoughts. How come he never told me? Why did he ask me out if he has a girlfriend? I laid my phone down beside me and decided that it would be best if I just try to get some sleep and forget about it.
Okay, just so you guys know I have nothing against Ellie. I am just using her for this book. I think she is beautiful and an amazing actress. I'm also a tad bit jealous of her, but anyway 😂 here's some drama.
