i was beyond happy that shawn was home, but he wasn't himself. he wasn't any where near as cheerful as i was. it seemed like he wasn't happy to see me.
"Shawn," i called out his name as i walked up the stairs to my bedroom. i stopped when i heard his voice.
"yeah, i'm working on it okay? i can't just tell her that i don't want to be with her anymore." i felt my chest tighten and tears stung my eyes.
i stepped back from the door and walked down the stairs as i wiped the fresh tears off of my cheeks. i went into the living room and sat down on the soft velvet couch as i stared at the wall.
"hey liz, can we talk?" shawn said as he entered the room.
"i know shawn," i said looking up to meet his eyes.
"know what?" his eyebrows pushed together as he looked at me with confusion.
"i know that you don't want to be with me anymore, so i'll make this easy for you shawn since it's not that easy to tell me it," I stood up and walked towards him, "Bye shawn." I said with the most stem and bitter voice.
"Elizabeth please just let me explain." He begged.
"No shawn. I think I heard enough when you were talking to who ever the hell it was on the phone." I said crossing my arms over my chest.
"Liz," he tried to grab my hand but I pulled hack.
"I think you should go shawn." I said looking down at the carpeted floor.
I heard the front door close causing me to break into sobs. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. I looked up to see my mom. She pushed the hair out of my face and looked into my eyes with her crystal blue ones.
"I'm so sorry hun," she said looking at me with sympathy. I heard a car door shut making my heart break even more.
"Guess we should of just stayed friends." I said causing her to wrap her arms around me tighter.
